Well as a Miami fan since the early 80's I must say this recent push has been a great surprise and I am enjoying the ride, and I give Randy Shannon all the respect in the world. A top 10 ranking feels surreal.

I also know our defense is quite suspect, and though Tech is not the team to exploit that flaw I don't see us coming out with the win here.

Anyone else?

I'm a Canes fan myself. I like their chances here. A win in Blacksburg would be very impressive and would convince me that this team has National Title dreams on their minds.

I was not impressed with VT against NEB.....especially on the offensive side of the ball.

I'm calling for an 8 point or more win for the Canes.

Not a Cane's fan now or ever will I be but as a football fan I can appreciate what this team has accomplished.

The Cane's defense really only has issues in the secondary and then only in getting a little lost in coverage. A team capable of exploiting the secondary can beat Miami but is Virginia Tech that type of team? If they are they have yet to show it.

V-Tech has had Miami's number in the past but this is a different Cane's team than those of the past. This Miami team is athletic to a sick degree and they are getting more and more disaplined with every game. If this is the begining of a trend it's scary to think how good the prgram will get to. Miami looks well on the way back to being the team they once were with one major exception..........don't think you'll see the same type of violations of previous coaching staffs to bring them down.

Not taking anything away from V-Tech they are a solid football team but Miami wins this game Saturday and it'll be by more than the spread.

Everyone thought Georgia Tech and the triple-option would give Miami trouble like it had in the past too and the Cane's solved that puzzle with utter dominance. It wasn't a fluke.

I also think it helps Miami that the game is at 3:30 PM. Blacksburg is a very difficult to place to play any time, but more difficult at night.

Vatech wins this game guys... Miami is still too undisciplined and find ways to shoot themselves in the foot. Va Tech is going to run the ball down Miami's throat. No east to west crap, just straight north to south. Tyrod Taylor will also give them fits rolling out and running QB draw. Va Tech's special teams will make a few plays as well. This will also be the game that Jacory Harris implodes. He is not going to find open receiver's because he won't have all day like against FSU who can't pass rush for shit. Miami is getting too much hype when to think they were one dropped pass in the end zone from being 1-1. The Cinderella slippers come off on Saturday. Sorry guys.

did VA tech open as a favorite or not? i see on vegasinsider that they opened as favorites then it moved to miami.. but sbr lines shows all books opening Miami as a favorite.. any info ??

Maybe you were looking at a preseason line. Va Tech may have been favored prior to the season.
