Default Where does the ND QB Mighty Quinn go in the draft?

If I'm an NFL GM I might burn a 5th rounder on him and see if I could get him a heart transplant. Any ideas how high he goes?

All the talk about him being the #1 overall pick baffles me, but he certainly won't last into the fifth round. Oakland might still take him with that choice, but I wouldn't. There are some young, second string QBs in the league I'd rather go with. If I'm Oakland and decide that Quinn's the best I can do with that pick, I'd trade it for a solid backup from another squad and a pick later on in the first round.

Not even close to a top 50 player, he was a bust as he only excelled against teams like Army and scouts saw that.

I say he falls to the top of the 3rd round. This is not a good QB class except at the very top but still I think the NFL is going to be nevous about investing millions into a kid that is still scared in the big games. In the NFL, every game is a big game.

I really don't know where all this hype about Brady Quinn originated from. Maybe it is because Charlie Weiss runs a pro style offense and he had some big games stats wise and a decent record. He still didn't play well against top competition though. Some people just get the "All-American" label when really they aren't that deserving. I think he will be a bust, but will be drafted in the 1st round by someone. I really don't like the guy because he gets to much respect that he doesn't deserve as a ball player. I think Brian Brohm out of Louisville is the best quarterback coming out, if he so chooses to declare. Quinn will get a shot, but i think he ends up a career backup 2nd or 3rd stringer, if that, with a career comaprable to Joey Harrington.

It's really Charlie Weiss creating the image. Thanks to him Quinn talks to Brady on the phone. Now Weiss throws in that Quinn will be among the top three QB's in the NFL in three years. Why is Weiss doing this? In my opinion for recruiting purposes. Who wouldn't want to play for a university with those type of connections and promises?

if Demarcus Russell comes out I'd take him over Quinn, hope the fvcking Dolphins pick him up although I think he may be gone by the 9th pick.

I know, as a Raider fan I'm pretty upset that everyone says we are going to take this guy...

He may pan out, he may not. But 1st overall? Completely absurd.

    uscking,
Trust me brother, the Raiders will NOT take him. I'd be willing to bet my house on that.

Ya know, Happy, I was thinking about this the other day. To me, Russell still has untapped potential. He could really be an awesome Pro under the right coach/offensive coordinator. In my opinion, neither Harrington nor Culpepper are the answer for the Fish. A guy like Norv Turner could possibly do wonders for Russell. The problem for the Fish is that they have already been down the old Dallas assistant road and it didn't work out too well for them (insert Wanny here).

Personally, I think Norv Turner is a perfect fit for the Dolphins. Perfect. He would inherit an offense that is absolutely sputtering. Any improvement he could make would be a welcome site in Miami. He could virtually start from scratch which is what I think Norv Turner could make work. He's got a potential stud back in Ronnie Brown (Norv has to have a good back in order for his offense to work). I nominate Norv Turner as head coach of the Dolphins.

If the Lions dont pick a 4th straight wide receiver in the draft, they might be stupid enough to take this overhyped quarterback.
