Maybe, but that doesn't mean he isn't stupid. With all of his money he could hire private bodyguards if he wanted.

Most people who live in New York I'm sure know that it's illegal to carry a gun and that there's a mandatory minimum involved if you get caught. Well, he got caught. His mistake, his stupidity, his problem.

It doesn't matter what he did, the law in NY is very clear what will happen if you're caught carrying a gun. If people who live in NY don't like it then they need to have it changed.

I agree with the gun safety side 100%, if you are going to carry it around, dont be a jackass and do it legally(especially if you are a millionaire.)

But, 2 years is harsh and the guy has a kid being born soon. We dont punish people on what could have happened... he shot himself end of story, that doesnt deserve 2 years.

Again, he didn't receive 2 years for shooting himself. The state of NY has a mandatory minimum for carrying a gun. The judge doesn't have any discretion when giving out the sentence.

if he got 6 months it would be a crime, getting two years is a tragedy. He was simply protecting himself, it makes sense hes a millionare and people are after him especially "thugs." I hope the jail becomes overcrowded so he can get released early if not hes career is probably over
