Plus, if public and half sharp are on the Bucks and half sharp on the Gators, shouldn't each sharp side cancel out, therefore leaving public money on Ohio St, therefore meaning the line should be going up a little bit, rather than down?

I have another question. When you say the public I'm assuming you mean the average guy betting games and when you say the sharps, who are they?

Are sharps professionals that bet games for a living?

Who are they and how are they identified?

I know pro's and sharps can't be touts because the touts suck. So who are sharps and how do we know who they are on?

Plus if a guy is a professional that bets games for a living does that mean he is automatically sharp?

My guess is that there is an extreme resistance to the game moving to -6.5, especially given the data given here. The public would be even more on OSU and many/most of the sharps who wanted +7 wouldn't want +6.5 - even the ones who think it has value would wait for +7 to come back. But there also doesn't seem to be much chance of -7.5 coming back either.

And Razz's statement makes me wonder if the southest simply has blinders on and assumes that any team from the SEC would beat anyone from anywhere else, OSU or no OSU. There's the position that +7 has value, which I can respect although I like OSU, and then there's the position that Florida shouldn't be the underdog and that defies logic and makes me weep for the way Florida won the right to play over Michigan, regardless of what happened afterwards in the Rose Bowl.

Zippo, generally a sharp is someone who bets for a living, but I happen to like the Pinnacle Pulse's definition quite a bit: A sharp is someone who on average gets a better line than the closing line, even if they bet $10 a game. If you're a good capper, the lines should move towards your teams moer often than not even if you just bet at Pinnacle without shopping.
