    Lightbulb Is sportsbook.com next?

It is my understanding that BOS was a target of the DOJ because of it's blatent advertising in the U.S.Today I got my new copy of motor trend and on page 55 there is a full page ad for sportsbook.com.Are these people just ballsy or is it true that BOS just caved under the pressure? This is not the first time I've seen this ad so I guess the DOJ remark about going after advertisers and website providers is a pick and choose law.Very confused on this issue and I hope someday the real reason comes out why the DOJ is so concerned as to how we spend our hard earned money.

Drive around Los Angeles and you're bound to see a few sportsbook.com BILLBOARDS.

    Personally I dont think so.

They want more meat on the bone than just advertising. A book with a big credit arm or a book with a history of ripp-offs is a much more likely candidate imo.

This make sense because if someone is runny a shadey book, there is a good chance they have a few other juicy (and ilegal) skeletons in their closet.

It is always a much better story to go after someone that cheated little old ladies out of their "fun time" sports betting money AND also is involved in other forms of fraud, internet kiddie porn, money laundering, and that all time favorite...tax evasion.

Keep in mind they have likely received complaints from ripped off players. That could well be the catalyst for going after the next book. It would elevate the standard charges if they can work fraud into it or in the case of a credit arm a rico statute.

    Lousy book

ZERO reason to play there, so many better books and way better run.

They've paid me pretty reliably, but I recently pulled out entirely, may go back again, I keep it small there, they let me parlay something I occasionally like when nobody else will.

They give the re-up bonus automatically ( like Bodog), even if you just withdrew, offer liberal free payouts.

They seem to advertise too much, and have a BOS "feel" about them, IMO !

The win a million contest promo is BS ! You have to pick 32 terms correctly ( over 4 billion to one against).

    Keep it small there.

    What Doug said.

Nothing in there now, but I've been enticed before by their bonus offers to put modest amounts in (mindful of the D rating and cringing a little all the while.)

No problems to speak of and, suprisingly, they have a line I can use much more often than I expect. This is a consistent phenomenon.

Sportsbook.com is not one of my favorite places to bet, but I do like their interface.

You will probably see this book pull back on advertising in the US. I still doubt they are high on the list.

Considering they had the guy from Sportingbet under arrest in the USA and let him go, it's safe to assume that the US authorities priorities lie elsewhere.

I posted a few questiosn about them last week as they are the only one I have used over the past few years and I have had no issues with them to date. I see their advertisements many places but don't know many people that use them even in the handicapping forums. I always thought that was odd so there must be issues I just haven't ran into with sportsbook.com.
