Default SIA update (one complaint resolved)

I earlier made reference to an outstanding complaint against SIA. The player's account was closed by SIA on December 4. He had a balance of $15,882, and complained that he was getting not getting payed. SIA management declined to discuss the case with me, stating that they would only deal with the player in confidence (they have stated this for this dispute, as well as the $8000 confiscation we reported earlier.)

The player advised me today that he has been paid in full.

A sportsbook has the right to restrict its players, and close their accounts at will AS LONG AS the entire balance is paid. It is my hope that when SIA takes countermeasures against sharp players, they will use practices acceptable in the industry (as was done in this case).

I'm glad to see the player finally got paid. Hopefully they will come around and pay up on some of these other outstanding complaints they have levied against them in recent months.

    There juicy lines of course.

There a decent book for $25-$300 bettors, but I sure wouldn't play there if I bet anymore than that. Always make sure your balance never exceeds 3-4 dimes or else you might be stuck in the position others are in right now in regards to the confiscations.

It's a matter of risk and reward. The risk at SIA is low and the reward is very high.

I would play there if I could.

I consider SIA a marker any respectable gambler can cash in at some point in his life, and collect a bunch of value before they decide to throw you out. Yes, there's a risk that they will try something, but the risk if you simply take your value and leave is very low - even if there's a real chance you lose your balance or all your winnings, it is STILL worth it. That's not for everyone, of course, but it's still a perfectly valid choice to take a shot.

" try something ".... what do you mean by that? Can you be specific?

Try and wriggle out of paying the player.

Take advantage of what they have to offer.
