Default Planning a trip to Vegas

Hey you guys, I'm planning a trip to vegas for january with 3 friends for about 3 nights...
Where do you reccomend to stay? We want a cheap place to sleep to spend more cash in party and gambling.
What better place to ask than a gamblers forum... LOL!!
    Al reccomendations are welcome.

If price is your primary concern and you're not looking to stay either downtown or in Henderson (probably a good bet for a Young Gun such as yourself), I'd recommend one of the LV Coast properties (Barbary Coast, Orleans, or Gold Coast). Gold Coast is a bit off the strip right near the Rio and the Palms, and Barbary is on the strip. Oreleans is a bit further off the strip (but not by that much) but it runs a free shuttle to both Barbary and Gold (depending upon traffic it can takes as little as 5 minutes), It has the best poker room of the lot (Barbary doesn't even have a poker room) and is also likely the cheapest. If you stay at any of the Coast properties make sure to ask for the casino rate!

Across from The Orleans there's an Emerald Suites (I'm specifically referring to the one on Cameron but there are also a few more sprinkled about the area) which is a decent bet if you want more spacious accomodations and don't need to stay at a hotel proper. You can use The Orleans shuttle bus across the street and I believe Emerald has its own transportation as well.

If drinks, clubs, broads, and leering are part of your plans, then you are better off staying on The Strip or one of the trendy "near-strip" places such as The Palms, Hard Rock, or Rio.

The Barbary Coast is a dump unless you really enjoy $1 Hot Dogs.

Bally's and Paris are about in the middle of the strip and are reasonably priced. It all depends on your price range. Friday and Saturday hotel prices are usually doubled, so take that into consideration.

After that post, there isnt really anything I can add if I had something.

Im sorry, I just dont stay anywhere out here but at my place. So its hard for me to spit out a good place for you to stay. Not going to suggest a place I havent been to or stayed at.

I should also note that if you intend to spend a lot of time gambling, you are better off downtown as most casinos there offer better odds.

Eg. Single Deck BJ on The Strip is 6:5. Downtown is 3:2.

    Baus,

I'm looking for a place near the strip.. of course that is fundamental... I have no clue where the coasts casinos and I wouldn't like to find myself far away from the partying and all the fun activities.. .... So everybody go ahead and keep on giving me your advice...
Also reccomend the best clubs.. money for having fun is the least of my preocuppations so I really want to visit the best clubs no problem with the budget there.

Downtown is cool. A joint like the Golden Nugget is very cool. Hard Rock if you like stuckup ugly chicks that get better looking about 5AM.

LOL!!! Now that is the other thing... Now I have an idea on where to stay... Probably end up in the flamingo or something similar...
Where to go to see good looking chicks and not that expensive.LOL!
Which are the clubs to go to find the ladies and if they are stuck up I don't mind I'll pop a Cristal bottle in their face. LOL!
I'll probably go during week days so I have no clue which are good clubs to visit during those days. HELP!!!

Orleans casino is fairly cheap and they offer shuttle service between it and the Barbary Coast for free. The Barbary Coast is right on the corner with Ballys, Caesars, and the Bellagio, so give Orleans some consideration. Just in terms of gambling and basic food the Orleans isn't too bad either.

Downtown is best to stay price wise. You can find rooms for $39/day at a place like Lady Luck. The farther towards the strip that you go the more it costs for the most part. Cab ride isn't much so if you stay downtown splitting a cab ride between 3 guys isn't much no matter where you go.

For strip clubs do NOT go to Clitter Gultch. Crazy Horse Too is the best by far. It's on Industrial right behind Circus Circus. Olympic Gardens, Cheetah's and Paradise Club by Hard Rock are in my second group.

If you are looking to make sports bets you should check out Wynn. Lines are 1/2 point higher there than elsewhere. Table games are $50 minimum.

Nice looking women at Mandalay Bay and there's a club called Rum Jungle that has cage dancers. I've heard there's a good club at the Palms although I've never been there.

since I live here ill give you some advice if your baller go to light in belligio or body English in hard rock. if your looking to see hot girls on a budget go to tangerine at TI go to the gift shop before you go in they have free vip passes. ( vip passes mean you don’t have to pay cover you still have to wait in line) try to go to pure in ceasers, one night its a b###ch to get in if you don’t have a connect but its well worth it.

Ak, It doesn't look that good to me! Are you sure it is a decent place? The few pics I could find make it look like a cheap highway motel.

El Cortez does have one hell of a Prime Rib. My friend use to get comps there all the time.
But it is pretty much a shit hole.

El Cortez is a dump!! When you leave the property, check over both shoulders frequently. Many bums are festering nearby....

No reason to even step into the El Cortez except for the 3:2 single deck BJ. It smells funny in there too. Average age of patrons is about 62.

AK, I thought you were more of a Palms-type of lurker.

I wish I could be of more help to you Jay. But when I decide to go to a casino, I go to the local ones close to me.

I was going to recommend the Bellagio, but its a bit pricey. Ive been there a few time only due to the wifes parents coming to town and staying there. Their buffet is pretty good, aswell.

The Golden Nugget could be a good spot. Its where the Rx bash is held every year, and its right down town.

    Cheetah's is a must.

Do you guys think it is worthed to spend $100 per night per person to stay at the palms? It should be "the place to be" in Vegas... If it is really that cool I might think about it.

Palms is overrated and is all by itself. I wouldn't stay there except to check out the nightclub there.

    Don't care about money:
    Belagio
    Mandalay Bay
    MGM
    Venitian
    Paris

    Medium:
    Riviera
    Circus Circus
    Stardust

    Cheap downtown:
    Lady Luck
    4 Queens
    Binions
