    Default What do you want

SBR has three new mods not including marc and myself. What do you want to see from the team.

We are here for you and want to make SBR number one.

Let us know, we are listening.

Illusion, since you asked...I would say continuing to tighten the ship around here...much like you did with AK yesterday...it's important for mods to make sure they know the difference between friendly banter, engaged conversations and just flat out rudeness...I think setting examples of a couple of posters goes a long way...not that I think anyone is really out of line right now...that's just my two cents...

less spam...Split the forums id suggest, right now theres everything here and nothing at sports talk. While 50% here IS sports talk.

Oh yeah, and it would be nice to see known criminals like raiders gone. Besides that, cause im no guy who complains all the time actually: Good job guys

I read it somewhere on SBR they were listing Blacklisted player's names. Where is that section or link?

Who are the new moderators???? ... I personally come here for a little insight on individual games, sports talk, industry talk and insight, picks, etc ... I appreciate those that spend the time sharing picks and a few lines why (ie Razz) ... Humorous experiences about sports and gambling experiences add a little flavor.

As for what you can do to make it better is a tough question as everyone is different ... I suspect that 80% of members are lurkers so you need to bring them out in the open but have no suggestions right now how ... Contests always attract a flock.

Seems to be too many threads started that have nothing to do with sports or the gambling industry ... Two recent examples would be " just how bad did daylight savings time screw your hours up" and "anyone have any halloween plans tonight".

Maybe a forum for off topic would do.

Anyway, I'll give it a bit of thought.

How about a horse racing forum? ... I know they're are at least a few that would be very interested in that ... I'd love to post picks and horses to watch ... Keeping it separate from the "games" makes sense.

    Freebie,

Casinomeister has a list of blacklisted players. Someone haad asked whether SBR would consider that as well. But for now the answer is no.

I'd agree with that - SBR should be about highlighting the dodgy books rather than dodgy players.

However, it might be useful to have a list of well-known scam-artists aside from individual books to highlight people who tout crap books and also who have a history of operating scam books.

Hi, I'm new to posting here but I enjoy all of the info everyone provides, this is a great forum. I was wondering if anyone would share their resources in regards to finding out about line movements and which way the public is betting. Any websites with percentages of money on each side or things of that nature would be great. Thanks to all who provide great advice here.

I would say add sports news, gambling info; like reading the morning paper. With more mods, you can also have specialized sections. I don't find it confusing as it is mainly because there are not too many threads. But with more posters, more mods, more threads, creating new sections to divide topics would be a good suggestion.

I realize I'm not the primary sort of person that a forum is trying to attract but FWIW, here are my thoughts:

    1) Seperate industry discussion from capping/in-games etc. I realize that one man's spam is another man's Prime Rib - I'm not suggesting getting rid of anything - but I personally would check and participate in the forum more if there was an area where the stuff relevant to me (sportsbooks/industry discussion) was more concentrated.

    2) I would enjoy and participate in a General Discussion area. I am looking for a forum to check when I am taking breaks from work. After I have gotten myself up to date on industry news, I like to forget work and talk movies, music, pop culture, humor, babes etc.

    3) I would love it if SBR would lead the way in being intolerant of posting forum knobs. I don't know why forums are all so tolerant of knobs, bending over backwards for knobs that everyone knows the forum would be better without.

    4) Emoticons. I find it too hard to find the one I want. I'll click on "More" then it takes awhile for that big long page to load. Then I have to scroll around for awhile hunting for what I want. I don't know if they can be alphabetized or personalized with favorites coming up first. I think you could get away with amputating a big part of the list.

you guys are focused on making this THE forum and you are well on the way to distancing yourselves.i like the daily picks and the way you take the time to grade all the plays.also like the fact that sbr acts as the only regulator to this industry.there needs to be 1 accepted authority to resolve disputes, and books or players that play outside the lines should be known as rogues if they dont accept sbr rulings.
