Default What are the Other BEST Sites for good info on books

Well I've been coming here for years and this is my main, and pretty much only place I check for info on books.

But certainly there must be some other places out there who are UNBIASED.....? Don't worry, SBR will always hold a special place in my heart.

BookMakersReview.com is a nice site. A lot of it is copied from SBR but he won't send readers up the river like others. It and EGRmagazine both report on corporate angles and more of the Euro industry. Best thing for the kind of info you probably want is to search forums for the lesser known books. Forums like covers were great because it wasn't tainted but they burried the industry forum. TheRX gets enough action where you can sort through the fake and real feedback. The best site overall might be Google.

Most forums have agendas, SBR does not. I would be the 1st guy to say they do.

Sad to say most sites have sold out. They recommend the biggest crooks in the business. SBG Global...BetUS to name a couple.

Hey SBR recomend VIP as an A+ I guess that means that they are selling out seeing as they wont do anything about their shaddy buisness practices because off their sponsorship dollar

VIP is pretty good outfit, many complaints their involve bonus scammers and other thieves.

One of the problems is there is just not many A rated books. Other sites take anyone they can which is a shame. Two sites TOW and EOG started by saying they were going to only promote the best books and then gave into greed. Others such as the OSGA make no bones about taking any book that has a pulse.

But as far as finding good info goes, I'd say use the search function at Therx or majorwager.

SBR is really the best...and second place isn't even close. however, that doesn't mean not to take into consideration other's ratings. Just because SBR is the best does not mean it is perfect. It's best to integrate ratings and discuss with others till you arrive at a decision. Most people on forums are honest with their expereinces with books.

You can find a lot of info at the RX when searching for older stuff...just dont believe everything, lots of shills for their sponsors.

Well...some of the A ratings for sure dont stand for the value of a book, but your money is safe there no doubt.
You cant say that about SBG...

Unfortuntely, the quality of sportsbook discussion in this forum has gone downhill a lot. There used to be some really good, player-focused sportsbook discussion here - I would have called it a forum specialty. In recent times there has been a shift away from that.

What I am finding is that a lot of sportsbook discussion has gone underground and takes place through PM's. I have 6 or 7 people I share sportsbook/industry information with (in varying amounts) through PM's. Most of it is stuff that used to be right at home in the Main Forum. Just simple stuff like, what do you think of XYZbook? But now I am getting those questions through PM's.

You know you can PM me NGIT. Maybe it would make sense to set up some kind of group e-mail.

I still check the SBR bulletins as part of my morning routine. As far as other forums go, I find that theRX provides me with more of the sportsbook information I need these days (bearing in mind what has been said about shills/agendas).
