    Default Hey BuddyBear!

You weren't among the arrested this past weekend down in MadTown were you?!

It sounds like things were pretty nuts down there over Halloween weekend!

No way. Since I teach at the unversity I am very conscious of running into students especially in a costume and intoxicated. But I read reports of 100,000 people being downtown...stuff was crazy around town as usual. Some 400 arests or so...tear gass used....property damage....today the paper reported a death related to the Halloween festivities.

Any other weekend is fair game for me...i like to go out from time to time. I had fun though Saturday with a mellow night...watched the Tenn/SC game hit for me than watched The Amytville Horror with my friend.

As I am getting older I am liking the calm nights more and more.

It was clam b/c it was an easy under. But seriously, after you've made thousands of bets you begin to feel a comfort level.

Line seems out of whack for a lot of people especially for two teams with identical records. With UW getting so many points on the road.

But I've heard a lot of people refer to two things: (1) Last year they were in a similar situation heading to MSU and got demolished and then got destroyed the following week to Iowa. Plus UW hasn't played very well on the road. They allowed 51 points to Northwestern and then allowed 34 points to Minnesota who was being led by their backup QB. They were no doubt fortunate to win that game.

    (2) UW has a very bad defense. Illinois hung in with them for most of the game last week and we all know Illinois is one of the worst teams so who knows what is going to happen against PSU. Generally, good defenses beat good offenses like UW...but let's not forget that PSU has a good offense themselves.

Not sure what to do here but double digits seems like a lot to lay. It's either a no play or a small play on Wisconsin.

    buddybear,

thanks for your thoughts here...I did read that Wisconsin took two days off of practice last week and they played with no pads in practice for two days as well (maybe it was you that told me this)...I think Alvarez rested them quite a bit last week and his playcalling was very vanilla vs. Illinois...as you said, two teams playing for first place...Barry has been here before...thanks again...

    Default I'm no chalkeater, but...

This will be team's 10th game in 10 weeks, as well as there 3rd in 4 weeks on the road. Calhoun had 37 carries last week. Stucco can manage a game, but will implode if team has to catch up. It seems to me every arrow points away from this dog.
