With Bob Knight on the verge of passing the great Dean Smith in all time Division I-A wins. So here is a interesting question/poll to do.

Who would you rather play for if you had a choice?

Dean Smith

I personally would rather play for Dean Smith myself though. I don't think i'd wanna get slapped around on national TV by my coach

Both are great But I know when I played I always responded better to the get in your face and make u feel like a piece of shit coach then any other. It always made me play better have someone on my a--. Also to me a coach that gets on u just means he cares and knows u can do better.

20 years ago Bob Knight was my hero. I'm from Iowa and he always won the Big Ten by out coaching everyone else. I though He was the greatest and would have loved to play for him. Now I would take Dean and his even hand. Plus Dean put in more great NBA'rs than Knight ever did.

Both good but rather play for Smith although Dean was a very overrated coach that underachieved with all the talent he had.

Wouldn't mind playing for either, but my vote went to Knight since he reminds me a lot of my own father. Never have to wonder what kind of mood Bobby Knight's in or what it is he expects from you. Do what he tells you and bust your ass doing it, pretty simple.

My college roomate played a year under Bobby Knight. It doesn't sound like it would be my thing. I vote Smith.
