Default You Saw Tonight Why Serena Cannot Get Big Endorsement Deals

She just is not marketable enough and her personalty will not sell products.

I mean she does ok but not like she could of if she was nicer, ect.

I am a Serena fan too but she is a sore loser not as bad as in the beginning of her career though.

She has a lot of miles on her. She will never win another major event again.

The same reason Lebron has such a hard time. By the way, sore loser's don't shake hands with there opponents after being beaten, ask Lebron.

I love how she acts white in the interview for the media...

... yet she was talking black to the line judge and saying, 'I'm gonna shove this ball in yo fvcking mouth'

... and she actually said that. That highlight was a thing of beauty.

That's such a joke of a statement. I guess we should put Venus in that same statement. Bret the savior Favre has more miles than anyone. I guess he will never win another playoff game while were at it. You guys are jokes.

Kinda. I don't agree with how she lost her composure though. Furthermore, I also agree that she was being outplayed. On the other hand, some of the outrageous statements that these hateful bloggers make are the reason why I have to take breaks from this place.

She really messed up tonight. I'm curious to see how this affects the public's perception of her. They seemed to turn on her toward the end of the match.

1st of all I never said that.

2nd, I believe you are referring to the other thread about Serena where I never said that.

3rd, Get the fukk out of here.

That's how it's suppose to be said when you are about to put your foot up someones azz. She is black and that wasn't an interview. Tiger Woods would have said it the same way. I'm guessing someone white would have said it differently

If Serena Williams and LeGarrette Blount mated would that make the angriest person in America?

This is a thread title just looking for racist comments, isn't it? I mean c'mon - white, black, yellow, red or whatever - if someone called you for an infraction with a game or match on the line and you disagreed, your ass would be livid too. She was probably going to lose anyway, but called for a foot fault while trying to fight back to a tie break situation? How many wouldn't go ape shit.

Serena is competitive and I sure she has some anger issues through the years being black player in a white mans sport. I am sure she has heard racial remarks throughout her career which had to hurt her.

The Asian judge should get fired immediately and I bet Serena never would of said a word if woman was white or black. Asians and Blacks do not like each other never have and never will.

Serena has mellowed through the years and she likes Clijsters so she is not as mad as she looked.

I also thinks she self promotes herself too much and is into herslef too much and needs to be careful what she says because she has lots of outside business interests.

It was nothing too bad, thank God she stopped or did not hit her .

I agree that I do not think she wins another major, I hope she does but she is not focused enough on tennis and does not try in tune ups evens and other tour events that actually hurts her along with being injury prone.

She has had a great career though

Care to base that on any facts at all?

She has won three of the last five Grand Slams, and you believe she is washed up based on one match...

Take a look back through her history - she has never played many warmup events. Other players need to play more events because they lose more often in early rounds. This level of participation actually saves her body - look at all the overuse injuries across the men's and women's tour. It is a tough, tough sport on the body, constantly training on hardcourt which screws up your knees and ankles.

    Facts:

Only in two seasons of her career has Serena played less matches than season 09.

    2002 - 61 matches
    2008 - 56 matches
    2009 - 55 matches - to Sept 12.

She'll play Tokyo, Doha and maybe one other event for the season (assuming there is no ban for her actions). This will probably be the most matches she has ever played in a season, not counting the fact this is the first time this decade (possibly ever) that the Williams sisters have played doubles in all the Slams in one year.

This has been her busiest year on record and she has publicly stated she wants that no.1 spot back.

She is in better shape than recent years but I think the foreign players are closing in and it is getting harder and harder to win.

She has gotten better but I do not think she is genuine.

    Her racist father ruined her

yeah, all those non-winners like Dementieva, Jankovic, Safina etc who choke on the big stage.

    Serena is still the benchmark.

Venus has more of a personality and I think she is relatively gracious on the court. Whereas Serena takes two days to come out with a scripted apology and it's rare she ever acknowledges her opponent when she loses.

The ITF have to take a very hard line here, but they also have to ensure that any other abuse of officials is heavily punished, so there is no possible accusation of favouritism or racism.

How long would a NFL or NBA player get banned for if they said the same thing to an official?
