Yeah, he's a great offensive coach.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt since you haven't watched every CU game for the last 4 years, but this offense is nothing short of pathetic and has never been anything resembling even a mediocre Big 12 offense in that time. The Buffs' defense actually wasn't terrible last year, but the offense has consistently been atrocious. The sad thing is he has talent all over the place and HAS recruited well. He's got 4 and 5* players all over the place in the skill positions and OL.
He clearly didn't do shit at Boise either. Did they miss a beat when Peterson (the brains behind the Boise offense while Talkins was there) became HC? No! They got significantly better because they didn't have to deal with Hawkins' Zen bullshit.
For those of you paying attention, this is nearly a carbon copy of the situation at Washington last year.
