Really Good Watchdog sites such as The Online Wire - The gambling and sports betting newswire with over 500 sportsbook ratings Do downgrades such as the one you suggest.

Are you saying this seriously, or is this irony?

chano ... seriously bro? The site that relentlessly promoted NoJuice, Bet4Aces, BOS and other failures is where you've chosen to take a stand?

Don't get me wrong friend ... I respect the challenges and differing opinions that you bring to our forum here ... it really helps to keep us on our toes and re-examine any of our potential shortcomings and errors. But promoting TOW as a "really good watchdog site" ... I'm hoping that you were joking.

We at SBR are by no means perfect ... but that's the goal we strive for. We have several complaints on top books that are currently in varying stages of investigation and/or resolution. But, as another poster referenced yesterday, we try to make our decisions based on facts and complete accurate information.

Anyway chano ... best wishes to you and yours this holiday season.

Gentlemen , please dont get too upset, I was just pointing out that they (TOW) have downgrades such as the one "Sammyb" thought should be present here at SBR. I thought that its a good idea to temporarily downgrade a book for a blunder that has not yet been resloved, of course if they book is at fault.

That gave me a pretty good laugh at first - kind of like describing The National Enquirer as a source for Really Good Journalism - or describing Paris Hilton as a Really Promising Mensa Candidate - but now it sounds like you actually weren't joking.

You guys get upset really easy, Is that all it takes? Mention another site and say its as good or better, and you guys shoot off like rockets. I did not know it would be this easy to start a fire. Everyone should focus on their own path and if you are doing a fine job, then what is said about others should not matter. Why the offense of mentioning another watchdog site. What if I mentioned "MW" ? What then ? Or EOG ? Would I still get shot down ? Its Holiday time, sit back have a drink and enjoy!!!

Chano, you're the one that set the clock ticking yesterday, because a dispute wasn't resolved quickly enough. Turned out to be one heck of a time bomb.

Well, this creates an interesting dilemma. Normally the first occurrence of this phrase from a poster would tell me that here’s someone I can safely add to the “Ignore” list since he’s basically made an explicit declaration that he’s an agenda-driven stooge.

On the other hand, if I block someone who’s capable of coming up with phrases like that, think of all the potential humor I’ll be missing down the road.

That really good watchdog site had BetOnSports rated a 10 and touts crooks like BetUS and I wont even mention the 5 books they touted that completely failed. Any site that props up BetUs as anything but a scambook is a snake oil salesman and thats even a little insulting to the snake oil salesman.

We like to take our time and work with these books on their issues. Like the 5Dimes situation recently. Imagine if we had downgraded them right away? These books are run by humans who do not like to be bullied. Like the 5Dimes case if you work with them as professionals they are more than willing to improve and go the extra mile.

so what is VIP,s situation John. How many complaints againts a group of books does it take before you take the step of downgradeing them

Try and get on there live help section I was waiting one and a half hours before someone responded the other day

OK, we will try live help and see too. I don't think a downgrade is even being considered by Bill and his staff. There is always some forum noise with the recreational books. If VIP was lowered then only Bodog would be left now that the others have left or been bought. VIP is an excellent book that has been around since day 1 in this industry. They post lines sooner than Bodog and take bigger action too.

VIP is safe, big with a long track record and ususally has good cs. They are a very good A+ book despite some forum chatter.

So all it takes for them being A+ is safety (no way as safe as pinny, cris, oly or wsex thou IMO) John, and a bit of a friendly CS?

What about not much value, lousy website, cutting players that are NOT sharps or bet steam, allowing sister Nine to make a donkey of many many players, bonuses only for losers etc etc?

    A+ is not worth a lot than...sorry.
If VIP is A+ Bodog is A+++++ when we talk about those square books.

Thats your opinon Yoshi and I respected it.

But the real fact is that VIP is very well respected and very popular. They are hard on angle shooters though. Yoshi have you played there? Can you PM me your account number and I will ask if you ever had any problems?

Yeah i played there, i didnt have any real problems except of rather low limits (nothing outrageous like 3.65 thou), the loyalty program annoying me every time i logged in that i should register my email adress (i did this 20x prolly, no shit).

And that my eyes almost hurt when i tried to find the game i need, inbetween all those half and quarter lines all mixed up with the full game lines.
Oh and once they mailed me a bonus offer, and when i asked they said no lifetime winners (i was up around 200 bucks or so, so thats fully understandable... ).

If you want to prove that there are many guys that like VIP, why not start a poll? Should be "interesting"

A poll of banwagoners? Would that really prove anything that all of us dont know?

Like I said I respect your opinion and just darn happy yopu have one! Thats what makes the forums. But we have visited every major book and most minor books many times. We know what owners are good and which ones are not and we get player comments several an hour. If you dont want to trust our professional judgement and believe something else then brother its a free world and be my guest. But VIP is still an A+ book.

cuts players limits and doesnt notify them of this

up to one hour to axess live help

says players eligable for bonuses and then changes their minds once the player has deposited and then tells the player they must roll their money over at least once before a withdrawal can be made

withdrawals that take up to 24 hrs to reach ones accounts

    No withdrawals on sundays

Randomly sends out emails offering bonuses and then says you are not eligable for them

You rate this book the same as Pinnacle and Bo Dogs

what a joke How about reading some of the posts made about Vip and Nine recently

They dont even deserve a B rating and only just get a C
