No, a smart bettor knows that USC has too much speed on both sides of the ball for OSU and will win by 10+.

Are you shooting for a middle? I am on USC -6.5 pretty large and honestly see no way Ohio State hangs with them.

im telling you, it looks to good to be true. how many freshman qb's go into the shoe for their first away game and come out alive. im not saying bet osu but i would not put all my marble in one play. remember it is college football and lest we forget usc is known to lose games that they are favorites to win or win by a few points and dont cover the spread.

The young QB will be just fine with his great supporting cast on offense and his defense giving him short fields. I think the enormous talent edge USC owns here more than offsets the Horseshoe factor.

    USC 30, Ohio State 17

im doubting that usc has them out talented on the field. i just wonder what young barkley will do when he gets that first late hit in back. will he tip toe and hurry things in the pocket or will he get up and say thank you give me another. it is hard for freshman to forget that kinda stuff early in their career. good luck to you LT, i am staying away from this one

not many freshman quaterbacks are returning 9 offensive starters including their entire oline. He got recruited by SC for a reason and he beat out other qbs that werent freshman for a reason hes the best quaterback for the job and as long as he doesnt throw 5 INTs USC wins handily

Home Field is huge for top programs. Especially with a stadium built for fans, enhancing their intangible effect on the game. Ohio State 105,000+ in attendance guaranteed, and impossible tickets to find under $500.

I beg to differ, home field is only a small edge in this game........and most all that involve TWO top flight programs.

Check COLORADO and FLORIDA STATE this past weekend as just two examples.

    usc should roll

best oline in the country vs a very overrated dline and linebackers

carroll is money out of conference as well

its "square" which I dont buy into anyway

    but a winner

MIami's QB is better than either on the Ohio State field Sat. Chris Peterson is the real Coach out of Boise St., Dan Hawkins got exposed.

the crowd will be a factor merely for the first drive and if i was pete carroll and i win the coin flip i want to recieve 2nd half just so the crowd isnt so nuts. The crowd will die quickly when OSU starts off with a 3 and out or an INT

I think USC wins this game I just dont want to lay the 6 on the road with a freshman QB. Saturday USC played it safe with Barkely. He threw 10 yrd. passes and they played it real safe. But there defense and Oline is solid. I also feel like this want be one of those Ohio State out of conference blowouts. I do think it will be closer than many think. But USC team speed and talent will prevail.

I'm OSU alum and I always play it the same way.. either stay completely away or bet against them, that way if they lose I make money and if they win I'm pleasantly surprised. But still... we've always been a running D which is why Florida and USC stomp us. Plus we no longer have any LB's that incite fear in QB's with their Samson-esque hairstyles. I'm gonna have to go teaser and take USC to win and over 38. Not betting much though.
