Traded Andre Miller and Joe Smith and a couple of first round picks.

I agree. Don't really follow the NBA too much, but after it was thought the AI trade rumors to Denver were dead a short while ago, making the deal a day after the suspensions does look a little knee-jerk to me.

This was indeed desperate type trade for the Nuggets do to the suspensions.
I see a conflict coming in Denver.
Both Mello and AI love to shoot the rock, and both always wanna take the big shot. So what appears to look good on the surface, I feel is going to be a bad move over the long haul.SBR Founder Join Date: 8/10/2005

As a nugget fan I don't really think Iverson fits with the team, especially once Carmello gets back. But, he's a superstar still in his prime, it can't be that bad.
But, it was not done in a panic after the suspensions. The deal would have been finalized sooner if the fight hadn't happened.

These two will be fighting for the ball once melo comes back. It makes sense while melo is gone, but will destroy Denver once he returns.

Short term...the only thing Iverson does for the Nuggets is improve their chance of getting past the 1st round. It's still too early to say whether or not AI can take this team to the Finals.

Well, although AI is a team killer and may conflict with the teams flow...I personally think that AI and Melo will find some sort of common ground.
I see AI's points/pg reduced. I see AI's assists/pg increased. I see alot of superb passing from AI and Melo. I see a progressive rush offence since AI is still lightning quick. You know, they might just get along since they do talk and know eachother personally.
I mean, its a rare hunch but since everyone is so against this trade, im trying to show some sort of light to it.
