    Default BuddyBear does SBR forums proud

    Normally I keep PMs private, but this time I'm sharing. Buddy, I hope you don't mind. In case you missed it, there was a topic elsewhere in the forums where BuddyBear took issue with some of the responses and I felt the need to argue with him. Nothing major, but I think both our faces broke red during the process. The topic faded away and we both moved on.

    Yesterday BuddyBear sent me a PM saying he was sorry we got off on the wrong foot and that he was glad to have me posting here at the SBR forums. That's class.

    Recently I've read complaints that these forums stink, are like others (full of drama, etc.). I'm new so I can't speak to that, but I can say that Buddy could well have told the loudmouth newb to shut up and move on but he didn't. I wasn't mad at him after our initial meeting here, but even if I were I couldn't be after that PM. Thanks again Buddy--as a senior member here you made the joint look good.

    Most SBR posters act totally different than RX MJ and EOG posters. In this forum most people are polite and respectful just like buddybear.

    No problem...I am glad you shared it.

    One of the reasons I like SBR so much is because it is devoid of politics and other polarizing topics. I noticed when I was on covers i would get into arguments with guys over politics and the name calling would begin and it would take a life of its own almost to the point where I couldn't even remember what the initial argument was about. It even got to the point where I would root for those guys to lose their bets unless we were on the same teams of course. There are forums for politics...but for me, politics and sports betting just don't mix. We all have our opinions.


    I knew that if I am going to post and Shawn was going to post then we needed to put some of that stuff behind us. I still would like the SBR forum to be a fun place where posters can talk about picks, gaming industry, theory, system and strategies, and the occasional off-topic humor.

    I am friends with everyone...that is why I am a buddybear.

    I enjoyed BB's scuUM's write ups. I never heard of UM referred to in that way. Anyway, BB brings in good material. I enjoyed the post about his students as well. Keep bringing it BB, keep bringing it....

    Joking, of course. A long time ago I used to post in a religious forum and all that happened was arguments. There was no sharing of views in a scholastic manner, no growth among members, just bickering back and forth. I've seen drama in my former gaming clan forum as well and it's annoying. You can't avoid it entirely but it was great to see maturity from a member here. Buddy, I hope you hit all your bets next week.

    What's going on here???? I come back and see so many posts.

    Shawn I wish I could win every pick next week...this god damn school stuff is preventing me from doing so. First couple weeks I was on fire but then school picked up and now I've fallen behind in my handicapping.
