Navy vs. Ohio State (Spread)
Navy +22.5 vs Ohio St.
Ohio St. comes in this game with probably the most athletic QB in the nation in Pryor, but how good will Ohio St. offense be this year without Wells. Ohio St. had 7 players drafted in the first 5 rounds of the draft. That tells me that a lot of contributers are gone. But we all know Tressel has talent all over that team . They still should have a good secondary even though they loss Jenkins. But the middle of that defense will be the biggest question. They lost Laurinaitis, and Ross Homan is the only returning starter to the linebacker corps and the junior needs to become a leader right. The Buckeyes also lost there 2 key recievers on offense and you counter that with Wells gone means BIG QUESTIONS... But I do expect Tressel to run the ball and keep that clock rolling. On the other side of the ball Navy which runs the option attack will have this clock rolling. They will run the ball 80% of the time and pass 20 %. That means the clock will be a major factor. And when you have a 20 + spread it takes time to cover that if your not running a spread offense like Florida or Oklahoma. Last year Navy rushed for nearly 300 yards a game and that was 1st in the nation. But if you remember Ohio St. has a lot of questions in the middle of that defense, and that can be a spot were Navy will try to attack the option. With an experienced offensive line returning I do belive that Navy will put up enough points to compete in this game. But the main part of this cover will be long drives for Navy that will eat the clock up.
