Default ** WARNING ** It's real easy to spoil the Holidays

With betting over your limit just because of the NCAA Bowls & NFL playoffs. Just remember they are single games no different than the other ones. Stay within your bankroll and do NOT go on tilt and steam.

    Happy Holidays

    Sam

Me too that was the end of the Dolphins dynasty, after that Csonka, Kick and warfield went to the world football league. It would of been Miami's 4th superbowl in a row if not for the Snakes miracle pass and catch

Is a good reminder. In general is better to cut back bets. Enjoy friends, family, and the season in general, and don't put the focus on betting which will never make the holidays better than they could possibly make them worse by distracting you.

I find playoffs and bowl game a little bit harder because the linemaker is normally pretty close with the lines in these games. I do find the early round playoff games easier than the later rounds for some reason. I always say just be careful expecially if you are down for the year because you could get crazy and think you can get it all back. In fact I do see the last week the easiest week of the year and you can spot teams that already made the playoffs and don't even try to win and rest their players for the playoffs, that is where you could cash in and find the right ones and if you are a totals players you can find two teams that are completely out of it and they tend to score alot of points then you could take the over in them games and they win a very high percentage of those.

Plus,if you have been off your game in the NCAA foots, bowls are a tough way to make up ground.

With all the sports going on I'd say just pick your spots. Plenty of games to choose from. Dont fall into betting Troy vs Rice just because its on TV.

good advice Sam & John, thats how I've been burned in the past. games on TV must bet it. Also holidays mean socializing and boozing it up nothing takes down a bankroll quicker than liquid courage. Guess best advice is keep the ship on course boys SLOW and Steady as she goes. GL to all my brothers be safe and healthy.

I go crazy around new years eve and day. The next few days I go lite even with posting with family hanging over my shoulder and looking to see what I do for a living.

I low key everything for like the next 5 days and then rev it all back up.

    Default case in point

I'll offer myself up as an example...

After taking Rice last night, I've now had 5 straight days of losing and am down 12x going into the weekend. I've got 2x on East Carolina +5 for today since I'll be at the game, and given how good USF is, I may be in store for another blowout loss.

So assuming I continue my cold streak today, that puts me -14x for the week, and we haven't even gotten to NFL yet.

Even if I just bet a few NFL games this weekend, I could easily lose all of them and be down 20x for the week. Talk about a sh1tty Christmas. I'll be honest, it will put a serious damper on my holidays. Luckily I'm financially secure, have no kids, etc, so it's not so much the money as knowing that I pissed away 20x in a week on crap bowl games and no-value NFL games. Not only that, but it really affects you psychologically for the rest of bowl season, trying to make sound plays knowing you're already down 20x to start things off. Things could get absolutely disastrous.

On the other hand, I could turn things around today and then have a good Sunday. But I doubt it. I'll revisit this thread on Sunday to let everyone know how things ended up.
