I can't believe that Bird is 50. It seems just like yesterday he was playing for the Celtics.

One of the best players I've ever seen.. When I met Magic when I was a kid he talked to me for like 10mins and told me Larry Bird was his favorite player.

I was in 8th grade when Bird hit the Celtics, so him turning 50 just means I'm closer to 40. That was 10 years of amazing basketball for the Celtics.

Bird was good but was surrounded by great players all the time which made Larry even better than he was.

That is why Jordan in a league by himself, ZERO players around him and 6 titles. The only exception I will make is Jordan had Rodman for 3. Rodman is one of the biggest winners in NBA history. When he started games his win percentage was unreal. Scotty was good but know way a great player.

    this is total nonsense

pippen is one of the 50 greatest in nba history and is widely accepted as such

he tailed off towards the end but was in the mvp race after jordan 1st retired

    his defense set him apart

He could still beat the majority of NBA players in a game of one-on-one.

Larry's talent was glorified because he was white, lets not forget that,

Not as great as Michal Jordan but for a white guy he sure can jump higher than the most of us.
