Whoever it is, he is paying more attention to the overall forum than I would guess from his posting. Every once in awhile he surprises me by making reference to some obscure forum drama or comment which has no relation to Beat The Prick.

I mean I know he posts now and then in random threads but The Prick is more all-seeing.

Either he is reading the forum and not posting, or reading and posting under another name.



I'm not picking up much in the way of clues from his writing style. It seems unique. If he is a creation of someone we know well, then they are dong a good job of keeping him distinct. Good work, I would say to the writer, if that's what's happening.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is just an on-his-own dude who is doing this gig. He browses the forum a bit and has a pretty good memory for little tidbits. That would be my bet.

Something else I am noticing more and more about The Prick: he's really not much of a prick at all. Behind the insults and trash-talk, he is pretty good natured. A prick with a heart of gold, if you will.

I do not buy that it is jjgold for a bunch of style-related reasons.

SBR_John would be my best bet if it has to be someone we know. John is much more business-like but he has occasional flashes of that colorful writing flair where The Prick lives.

But it's a stretch. They're very different. If that is you John, again I say, good work. Maybe you should try writing a novel or TV pilot or something. You have a talent for creating unique characters with unique dialogue and not wavering.

But I'm still betting on The Prick just being his own dude.
