Thumbs up Screenshot Toolbar Beta Testers

The new SBR Screen Shot Toolbar. It's still raw but I'm already finding it useful taking snaps.

Failing to write down ticket numbers or going through the screen shot process has been costly for a lot of players but some have said it isn't realistic when firing at crunch time. This bar is nice because you dont have to paste the picture after hitting a Prnt Scrn button. You can click it on the fly and it will automatically put the picture in the folder you designate. The screen cap will be named the time showing on your PC clock. Also included will be an SBR search.

    =====================================

5/05/07 Edit: To add Screen Capture ToolBar links

    Download bmp screenshot toolbar here

    Download jpeg screenshot toolbar: Here
    Requires .Net 2.0 download add-on

I always take screenshots of my bets, so I'd be interested in testing out this feature.

Sound like a great idea that can prevent a lot of suffering. Also nice to have a universal method for everyone. Hard for the books to argue with that. So count me in.

Just making sure that records are secure and 'one-sided'. Entered bets stay within the personal domain, and can't be accessed by external parties, including SBR.

No, the screen caps are saved in your computer. This is a desktop ap, not a web based tool. No Spyware, no way to collect data, just the tools that could prevent the complaints we get every week. We will have a link back to SBR the way google does it.

The final version will have a "Find Text" so you can find Rots and team names on long bettin pages like Pinnacle's. If you use Firefox you have this feature now. It will also have a SBR/SBRforum search field.

sounds like an outstanding tool....hadn't ever thought of taking pictures of my wagers before, but I don't worry a whole lot about the books I play with...for those that play at some of the lower rated ones (or for any in general I guess), it's a great idea...

Even the best books tell you to copy down ticket #s. This is going to be the fastest way.

Ok, everyone in this thread has a link to the DL. Remember it is a beta for testing the Snapshot one process.

I have firefox. Downloaded and installed the toolbar, but it's not showing up. Also not listed with the other toolbars.

    DH,
I believe this is only going to work for IE. The final version will include FireFox if all goes as planned?

It would be better in a status bar icon, how many fukkin toolbars can you have? I now only use stuff that can be moved into one toolbar or use stuff in my status bar in firefox. It looks sharp though.

You may have to right click to check which toolbars you want to show. But, it is a beta so may just be a bug.

Me too but nothing that did it in a 1-click process.

Once IE7 came out with Google search, I stopped using toolbars. Which are woprth using now?

    Koko,
PM sent. You will be the last tester. Thanks guys.

So far, this the app is work very nicely.

My only suggestion would be to be able to set a default location to save the screen shots. As it is, the app saves the screen shots on the desktop, and my desktop got pretty cluttered very quickly. To be fair, by desktop was already cluttered before all the screen shots were saved there.

Sure it isn't too much work to manually move them into a folder, but it would be sweet if I didn't have to do so.

I agree. The toolbar works great. It would be nice to be able to set the path where the shots are saved though.

If you need to take screen shots of your bets at a particular book you should not be playing at that book period.

I use firefox but checked it on internet explorer. I would prefer to see the screenshots saved to a folder, instead of the desktop. Seems to be a simple application for a simple use, so how much beta testing could be necessary?

    DH,
This is an old thread and new toolbar. At first, it will look like most others. Once the foundation is set we will be able to make it to do many advanced things and players won't have to redownload it each time.

If SBR Odds included a backward and forward button (so that you could navigate through a book's website, after you opened it on SBR Odds), that would be a perfect one-in-all. Maybe the screenshot option could be added to that as well.

Saves to folder now...There are still some aesthetics to change but this should help IE users record all wagers with one click. It also has highlighting and search features similar to Firefox for finding rot #s and team names.
