Default Was there ever a better offer than the free $1000 bet on the Steelers from Mansion?

At the start of every football season, I always remember back to when Mansion offered the risk-free $1000 bet on the Steelers. That topped everything in my book. It had all of us signing up and getting that money moved to them any way we could possibly do it. Many got shut out when it was limited to only 5000 people.

Will we ever see an offer as good as that one again from a sportsbook?

Didn't mansion go broke? Haven't heard of them since then.

Week 1 - If you risked $1100 to win $1000 on the Steelers and it lost, you would get a full refund. They won anyway, but it opened up opportunities to hedge yourself into a guaranteed $500.

What was the rollover and hold on this?

Reload- Wasn't it $1000 free play on that one game? Those that picked Pitts won $1000. I had Pitts and got the $1000 but I forget the details. Wasn't there no rollover?

Nothing - you could have withdrawn everything right away and they paid fast with Neteller in those days

Correct, raiders - no rollover. I had $1100 to win $1000 on the Steelers also. They cashed so it didn't matter in the end. But if they lost, the money you risked would have been refunded.

I still remember everything that went on then. Everyone was jumping through every hoop possible to open a Mansion account and get that money loaded. We'll never see anything like it again to start a football season.

    there was no rollover.

however many people had a hard time hedging this game since the free bet was locked at steelers laying 7.5 vs dolphins, if you didn't get in early (like i did) the line went down to a pick em because rothlisberger got injured (i think it was a motorcycle accident).

and you HAD to take the steelers -7.5 even when the line changed. nobody was allowed to bet on the dolphins for the free bet, and you couldn't even hedge the free bet at mansion or it would be voided.

I got in late after the line already moved. Some people who got in early and did not hedge right away betting on the Dolphins certainly were left with no alternative than hoping the Steelers cashed (still at least a risk-free $1000 chance) unless they wanted to try a Polish middle.

Yeah - it was Steelers only. Back then I still had Pinnacle as an out and hedged it there at reduced juice. Made a guaranteed $480 or so. I did leave the money in Mansion for a few more bets to try out the exchange and then withdrew a few weeks later.

Yeah - we all that thought that, Strait! I still remember all the threads talking about how rich the owner of Mansion was that he could afford a 5 million dollar loss on this like nothing. It convinced me enough to go through with it and glad I was able to get the cash deposited in time.

It was for anyone and everyone, topgame! They did limit it to the first 5000 people who made the wager though. Lot of people got pissed being shut out but you snooze you lose. They were trying to go after people who could quickly get a G-note deposited figuring it would attract bigger players in general.
