Who is the Best Athlete To Have Career Cut Short By Injuries?
Penny Hardaway in his prime was perhaps the athlete that I liked and enjoyed watching the most. On the other hand, Bo Jackson was a pure beast. The guy was huge in statue with crazy speed for his size. He could run over you or by you. Furthermore, he successfully played baseball and football at high level. So, in the end I have to give it to Bo Jackson. It's a shame he isn't in some pro Hall of Fame.

Another point, is Jackson in the hall of fame? What about Theisman?
They were saying Holliday on the Cardinals who was recruited by Oklahoma as a QB I believe was throwin 50 yard ropes the other day with a football. There are alot of athletes that were better than Bo Negro that chose only to play one sport. This question is far from being awnsered Nicky

Had never heard of him just looked it up. I like the fact that you introduced me to him but I don't think he can win this category.

Bo Jackson's football career was cut short, but he still had a decent baseball career after the injury.

Yes..his career ended on a monday night football game when he was sacked by 2 NYG..they snapped his leg in two..joe was drafted by don shula of the dolphins but when he opted to go CFL shula sent him to the skins for peanuts
you can youtube the injury by typing in joe thiesman
fins also sent anthony carter to the vikes for robin sendlein for the same reason after they had drafted the star michigan wr..another bad trade indeed

Agree that he is not close to top of list but would have liked to see him healthy those last 4 or 5 years. Technology and treatments are getting better. Amare looks healthy as far as his legs and knees go.

Things are just getting better IMO. Technology and treatment. Penny had a ridiculous number of surgeries. Wish he would have had the benefit of the meds, doctors, and treatment that these young guys today do.

Bo Jackson by far. The man was a beast, an all pro in football and an all star in baseball. He played some MLB after his NFL injury but he was not even close to the player he was before the injury. If the injury never happened people may very well be calling him the best athlete of all time.
