I'm sorry to hear that. Holy and his "Fishtank Syndicate" really shook up the market. I remember talking to a bookmaker a few years ago - they would look at all his plays and say "What the hell is this guy doing?" It turned out it was nothing fancy - just exploiting poor conversions... But when he played these, he had a huge turnaround, which made everyone sweaty.

This is what I heard, he was a partner in some book after some guys liked his sharp posting and all was going well until he started betting and booking bets at the same time. I think he dished off some money to other books also but was gambling too much with his lines and shading the way he liked and he got buried. Secondly he had the phones set up where certain callers would go only to him and he booked the bets without entering into the system and these guys beat him good. I think he thought he had an edge with these squares but they got hot.

I also think then he was back wheeling a football game with horses at California tracks, that is very risky . He tried hedging off, ect. It is confusing what he was doing so not going to explain this but the end story is he got bounced and gave up his ownership to settle the debt.

Ok had to chime in to clear up misconceptions....

I didn't work for a book, I worked for a Donut Store. I did get fired for consuming the wares.....what happened was this fatass would come in every day and get 4 Bear Claws and I wouldn't say anything to the guy. Then one day he came in and was real demanding and stuff so after giving him his Bear Claws, I started to shake the tip jar at him since the jerkoff never even put in a quarter. Guy starts throwing a tantrum. Next day I see we have 8 Bear Claws left and I slam a Hamilton in the register and start shoving the Bear Claws down. Guy comes in and to make a long story short, I got fired for eating the Bear Claws even though I paid for them and everything.

I did use to bet big but went broke betting on Elliot in american idol and haven't recovered.

After the donut fiasco I did get a job flipping Bagels. Its not quite as good as donuts but the customers are far less fat except in the nose area and they have these good Bundt Cakes that I get 30% off on.

He keeps his lights out most of the day and peeks through blinds and shitt all day and night.

Yeh Fukkin strange but brilliant. I would think most real smart guys are real wachos and shut ins. I have serioulsy heard he sometimes stays in for 6-7 months straigt/--JJGold 4/12/04
