Had a friend send me the youtube clip of the 1994 Tyler vs Plano East play off game. Plano down 42 -17 with 2 minutes 42 seconds left storms back to take the lead. It made ESPN at the time and seeing it brought back some memories. Now I know its high school football and all but this is Texas and they take it very seriously. Not quite Varsity Blues serious but in some towns its close. Anyways thought you guys might like to see it.

This John Tyler had Gary Baxter (Browns/Ravens CB and David Waren (FSU D lineman who never quite lived up to that USA today Def player of the year thing).

That was amazing. Three onsides kicks in a row and the other team kept blitzing, setting up those huge screen passes.

But being the nitpicker I am, why did the coach go for 2 down 6 with 1 minute left? He missed the two-pointer and that left them down 41-37 instead of 41-38. They then score the TD to go ahead and he kicks the ball deep and the other team takes it back 95 yards to regain the victory.

Should have squib kicked it, since there were only seconds left.

And those announcers were annoying. Talk about homers. I know it's high school, but have some credibility.

I knew they would come all the way back before the video started just because of the title, but for some reason I got the noton they would lose right before they scored the 4th straight TD, that also had to be the most biased commentating you will ever hear
