    Default PlayBanks

This book should at least email there clients back with an explanation.

    11.30.2006 (11:15 AM CST)

SBR Bill Dozer reports: PlayBanks (SBR rating F) sends notice that it has closed as of November 29th and pending wagers not decided before the close of November will be canceled. Two players complain that the sportsbook is holding balances and not responding to email.

How can they pay if they're broke--which is probably the case.
They opened for business only this year--didn't last long.

    Hi althelegend.

I was so lucky. My funds just happened to leave my account 4 days before the hit shit the fan.

I also got a palp with Playbanks and they didn't realise. It was only £30 they gave me but things like that can get expensive.

I hope other people get their cash.

Here come the pessimists again. You musy have been really upset when WWTS sorted their problems. Why not just wait. They communicated originaaly they didnt just close. Dont you think everyone is trying to call them . They could answer the phone or try and pay people which would you prefer.

At least they payed two players, so there might be some hope for others.

Closed sportsbook, PlayBanks (SBR rating F) pays at least two users this week. SBR will remove PlayBlanks’ rating once all users are paid in full. The sportsbook received an initial rating of F when it announced it was closing on November 29th without subsequent communication with players. The PlayBanks website remains on-line, advertising bonuses.

I made a withdraw request (674,97 euro) on 12 Nov 2006 from my Playbanks account but they haven't sent my money.I have sent e-mails again and again, they always said "we have sent your money" but they haven't sent my money.I told my problem to LGA (Lotteries and Gaming Authority Malta) after Playbanks Closure.LGA said me "Playbanks will send your money" but again they haven't sent my money. Now,what should I do to receive my money?

The same has happened to me my friend - but for 485 Euro. I made my withdrawal request on 21/11/06 and alike to you have recieved nothing. Can anyone help? Here are the emails highlighting my trouble and (lack of) communication from Playbanks. Please note the earliest mail is at the bottom then upwards and so on.

    Hello,

I have no choice but to inform my CC company of the fact that you have defrauded me of 485 Euro's - and they say an investigation will take place as to the whereabouts of the funds - I have forwarded all the relevant emails to them where you have PROMISED in your emails since you 'CEASED TRADING'. What you are doing is wholly illegal - and is in reality theft. I have also informed the well known betting forums http://www.sportsbookreview.com and punterslounge who have said they will make every attempt to get you to pay the money back which you owe me which I processed for withdrawal on 21/11/06 and have STILL not recieved a penny. I will inform the relevant betting licensees, consumer organisations and relevant Police authorites unless this theft of 485 Euros is rectified NOW!

I demand a reply with physical evidence of my funds being sent either A: to my CC which you have recieved copies of for 'security purposes' or B: to my bank account which I originally used on playbanks to withdraw funds.

Last chance saloon for this very dissatisfied Playbanks account holder

    Regards
    Matthew Hall / Woyah10

Default They've still got my money too

Don't really know what to do. Send three emails to them but no reply. Left a message on their 24/7 phones but to no avail. I have about 600 euros in that account. I only noticed as I back Australia for the Ashes series and wanted to check if they paid. Then the message that they had stopped trading. No email from them prior to this. What can I do?

They responded to my first round of emails for players making some promises, but they didn't follow through on the promised payouts and now they aren't answering my emails on other player's payouts. Doesn't look good.

I have written a final email demanding a reply to me emails and payment within 24 hours. If not I will contact the Malta Gaming authorities and my CC company to report fraudulant behaviour. I hope I don't have to go this far.

JR1, You might have to go that route, because they did close as of November 29th.

PlayBanks (SBR rating F) silent as stiffed players ask questions
Bettors were hopeful that a handful of sporadic payments in early December was a sign that the book was making an effort to settle accounts. No further payments have been reported and emails inquiries have not been answered.

Situation sucks. Have a lot of players emailing in about not getting paid, and neither they nor I am getting any responses from Playbanks.

How do you people find a book like playbanks?

I mean you certainly have not seen them on TV or in any major magazine.

If you run a search for online gambling or sportbooks, at least 100 like pinnacle, olympic, wsex, bodog, etc come up well before playbank.

Do you guys go looking for new dangerous places to send money?

    Hi Chalytb,

Unfortunately your funds are probably lost. To our knowledge, Playbanks hasn't paid anyone since last year. This was an ugly one, especially since Playbanks showed sings of life at the end before disappearing. I wish we could help you guys.

Regarding the email, we don't have anything left in our box pertaining to PB. If they were CCs after an original email to us, they might not have been marked as needing a reply.

I would imagine 99.9% of this book's custom was through betbrain i.e. arbers. Not the best business model.
