Natrass visits William Hill
Natrass visits William Hill (SBR Rating A-). I found the premises to be conveniently located in town, although facing 'catchment competition' from a Ladbrokes around the corner beside Socks-r-Us. The premises were airy and well lit and, upon inspection, the toilets were poor to satisfactory (depending if you needed a number one or a number two).
The elderly staff could basically only tell you the names of their kids but the one I 'interviewed' appeared almost hostile to my questioning about their backers and boardroom make up. However, she did manage to rustle up a half-hearted 'cheers, pal' on completion of my questioning.
A downgrading may be considered unless the company staff on the premises are more open to revealing their corporate structure.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Ive got to say I have a lot of respect for the SRB guys who cover the Americas now. Its a tough job
The staff member seemed to be more interested in taking 20p each way bets on the greyhounds than in discussing liquidity management and corporate funding.
Anyway, they wont be laughing now when they see this review.

Interesting investigation, natrass. Wouldn't there be easier ways to find the answers to your questions? Albeit, there is no call for the staff being rude to you, and they should have at the very least been able to give you a number or name of someone who could answer your questions if they could not. Did you try calling any customer service telephone numbers? Maybe you can snoop around and dig up some more dirt.
What inspired you to investigate William Hill? Do you do a lot of business with them?
I've logged maybe 100 hours playing on their online poker room and online casino. I haven't been on there in maybe 6 months. But, I would probably rate my experience around C+ or B-. I'd feel fairly safe with my money on there, but I'd still opt to do my business elsewhere, if possible. I have nothing bad to say about them, and they are above average, in my experience. But there are lots of better options out there.

Interesting stuff Natrass.. is this the same branch of William Hill that Komp sometimes puts his soccer bets on with ?
I say sometimes as , if it's the same one, it'll be at the top of a fairly steep hill, luckily for Komp he doesn't always get his bets on as the thought of the trudge up the hill...well,, puts him off.
Anyway, good work and a smart review, any chance of doing a similar investigation of Laddies ?
Shouldn't be too difficult as they're just around the corner.
PS apokogies to any readers who are unclear as to the identity of the aforementioned Komp, suffice to say he is something of a well known Scottish punter on the Brit soccer boards.

Is there anything worse than a stand-up 2 with one sheet of tp in a hot steamy bathroom in a 3rd world country?
