    Default Anybody Else Play Tennis?

Just got started about a week ago, can play pretty well but just cant serve for the life of me. It goes everywhere for the most part, I do have a nice hook on it though. Just wondered if anybody else played at SBR

you play golf too right? Do you get the hooks after you play tennis? I normally play an almost straight ball with every club in the bag unless I do want to move it but yesterday I couldnt cut the ball at all

The serve is the hardest part, once mastered you can completly dominate the pace of the game

I play tennis 3-4 times a week after my workout with my buddy. I'm pretty decent we play with real rules it is a lot of fun but I wish we had a ball boy.

Love to play tennis, but don't very often since I was younger. Think about it all the time, but afraid of injury.

what kind of injuries are common? I have rib and back problems from time to time. My legs and arms are usually pretty durable though

The key to getting a good serve his having a good toss, you want to make sure you are throwing the ball straight up, and hitting it at its highest point, try grabbing your raquet by the throat and swinging in that position until you feel better

because it is right outside my back door and nobody uses it, except a couple of kids occasionally for skateboarding.....get bored sometimes and could use the exercise, although staying outside in 110+ degree heat usually doesn't last very long.....

For me it is preventive maintenance. I had a micro back surgery back in December and I have developed a phobia of doing things which may lead to re-injury. Real depressing.
