If you have nice and a "real purty mouth", you could probably live here on six dimes a year. Not possessing the aforementioned qualities, I'm finding the cost of living to be a bit higher ... about 10x higher.

Yeh I lived their for 1.5 years booking and consulting, it sucked and no USA. The girls were nothing, moody, overweight and not good lovers. i traveled for a year in central america for about 8,000. But the other countries were much cheaper than costa rica.

It really depends. SBR is located in Escazu which is one of the nicest and most expensive areas in CR. You certainly would not make it on 6k a year in Escazu or any real nice area here. Of course if you are not picky about the neighborhood and want to go for something a little more modest, I think you could live here fine with some style for about $1500 a month.

I live in one of the most expensive areas of the US spending less than $6000 a year. I know for sure someone could live in Panama on under $500 per month, and I can't imagine CR is much different.
