Surprised Pitino didn't up his offer to get him to come to Louisville I'm sure he would have paid him the same or a little more then the European team was offering, at least that is what he does with the rest of his recruits.....

Sounds smart to me. He will be eligible for the NBA draft next year. He can always go back and get a GED or a degree. This kid will eventually make more money in 1 year then most people will make in 20 years. Why does he need a degree

I have several friends who play ball overseas and they make great living. The salary is tax free and the clubs pay the agent's fees. They play for a few months and come back to the states the rest of the year. It's a great gig and the amount of money these international teams are paying is outrageous. When you add not paying taxes some of these guys are making NBA type money.

I know too many people with good degrees that are broke as shit. Degrees are very over rated. Get the money then you can always go back and get the degree or at least buy one. Mike Tyson received a doctorate. The NBA rule is horseshit and it sounds like a good strategy for this kid.

17/18 year old kid has the chance to make $140K/year tax free and travel the world playing a game he loves but he should stay in school and get a HS degree or even a college degree in social studies, Communications, hell even Engineering and get out 4 years later and make $70K (half that amount) working in a boring ass job.

Or maybe he can get his degree and join the half million people that will file unemployment this month. Brilliant

I never said don't play ball, just finish up 1 more year of high school. Obviously the offer will still be there after he gets his HSD.
