Default Betting on pre season football????

Please someone explain to me why so many people bet on pre season football. How the hell do you cap a game where the starters are in for 1 phukin quarter?

    1. Do you pre season bettors just flip a coin?
    2. Do you say Tom Brady is going to go 4-5 for 35 yards...this game is in the bag?
    3. Are u that much of a degenerate that you can't resist playing the pre season?

Preseaoon NFL is the easiest sport to beat, as long as you approach it correctly. I am well over 60% in preseason over the last 10 years.

People that lose in preseason are generally those that handicap these games the same way they would a regular season game, which is definitely not the way to approach it.

Call me crazy, but you cap preseason the same way you cap the regular season...you just have to look at the 3rd string vs. each other.

I think you have to also look at who all are competing for jobs. The more competition at each position the better the team usually does. When jobs are already sewn up and guys with no chance to get contracts are playing your in trouble.

you seem like a cool guy, but i think you just have the wrong approach.

preseason is one of the easiest ways to make money. sometimes, its almost free money. you just have to really follow training camp battles, major qb/rb/major position player competitions, figure out who will get the majority of playing time, follow interviews and coach pregame hints, and cap the depth charts and who is playing what quarter and against who.

dont be discouraged or bitter toward people that you may have listened to or tailed who have no idea what they are doing. its nowhere close to a coin toss. you just have to target certain games and molest the money lines for the targeted games. for other games where there is no forseeable advantage, fade any plays and anybodys advice.

U cant cap preseason IMO. Play in free contest if you want action to get juices going.

On the other hand, if u have 2 good quarterbacks or really good depth take that team, because they will have a good chance to compete when they go to there benches.

I used to bet a lot in the '80s and early '90s and never bet preseason football. When I came back to the fold last October, it was too late for pre-season betting, so this is the first time I've gotten into it. I only got into it after researching articles like the one dj linked to the LT Profits article above. I tend to agree with those who say this is one of the best times to make money, if you know what you're doing or tailing someone who does. Now I kind of chuckle at those who don't get it. This is a great way to build your bankroll for the NFL regular season, which is actually tougher to beat.

Exactly. It's free money, but because it pre-season it doesn't count.

Certain coaches care more about winning in the preseason; read local: coaches will often give approximate playing time for starters and their attitude toward the game; pay attention to who the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th string QB's are; obviously, upper echelon teams usually have better depth; saying all that, don't overthink it and don't blow your wad, after all, we're just getting started. I probably won't bet on preseason, but I did go 3-1 in my selections.

Exactly! I would go so far as to say that NFL Preseason is the easiest sport to beat and regular season and Playoffs is the toughest to beat, as NFL lines are the sharpest of any sport.

Hit the big 5-0 this year. Grew up in L.A. and my little brother and I used to hit up the Vegas strip and downtown regularly back in the day. We used to get $300 2-night vacation packages to stay at hotels on the strip that included $500 in chips, which would usually pay for everything. We'd make the 3 1/2-hour drive from L.A. drinking beer and getting stoned (not sloshed or wasted, by any means). We had a helluva lotta fun.
