    Default Stiffers/Scammers & Chargeback

With all the new legislation that's thrown everything up into the air making it basically illegal for the majority of betting, what are current reprocussions for stiffing a sportsbook or charging back a CC (assuming that you can find a book willing to take them)?

I would think it would have to be getting tougher for books to collect funds. I know in the past some books would go after players and some would just disabled the accounts and delete the wager from their sides.

    sportsbook.com just disables your account.

intertops comes after you with threats of collections agencies.

by the way, i'm not a scammer or stiffer at all, but have had a good friend go through a gambling crisis and witnessed it first hand. luckily, with some help, the majority of which was from his wife, he payed up.

What do books like wsex do? betus?

Interesting times in online sportsbooks these days.

I have often wondered what the bigger books do as well. Maybe Bill or John could shed more light on the subject. BTW, welcome to SBR.

thats true about sportsbook.com. they just close your account and credit back your money to your cc.

What an odd post. Kind of like:

I’m curious what businesses in the area do to prevent burglary. Anyone know which ones have the most and least effective burglar alarms, which ones have night watchmen, which ones aggressively press charges if you steal from them, and so on? Anybody know about how much money they keep in any on premises safes, and how best to crack them?

By the way, I’m not a burglar, though I do know a burglar, who with the help of his wife paid back much of what he stole.

Excellent post. He did a nice job disguising it though.

I don't know about CC chargebacks but I could tell you where my girlfriend leaves her purse when she is sleeping if that would help.

This is not the information we would disclose even if we knew it, which I certainly dont. I can tell you the last books I would stiff are Royal, SBG and BetUS. You could lose a pinky finger or a lot more. Tell your friend that there are some very evil guys in this business.

If I was a book I would avoid using ************ as much as possible. Chargebacks are huge, but even the legit players can get turn off by the book because are so many restrictions when a player does use ************.

I feel like OP wants to know which store you can steal without getting arrested.
