    Default Expekt

    (
SBR rating C): Two players complain that the sportsbook changes the wagered amount as they see fit. No information was sent to the player about the altered bets.

Player: I placed a bet with Expekt, the bet was for £55. I placed the bet and then went to ’pending bets’. It said the bet had been accepted for £55. I then logged into my expekt account the next day and saw that they had rejected £32 of the bet stake. They had done with only about 25 minutes left before the actually bet started.
I think this may have been a misunderstanding on the players part. Expekt will accept a bet in part and refer some to its traders. The bet will read something like 23 (32) in bet history. Traders usually make their decision within a couple of minutes.

My experience with this book is excellent. They will generally accept large bets but will refer them to traders for approval. It is worth doing this, the traders respond quickly and usually agree the larger amount.

Yeah, I'm sure many of us who play at Expekt think that might be the case; these players may be just new to this procedure. It would be interesting to hear from the players what happened exactly. After placing hundreds of bets through this manual approval procedure I'm having a hard time believing they would touch the bet amount afterwards. But you never know, maybe they screwed up this time..

I think Expekt is one of the most underrated books here. And of course I don't believe they would cheat a player. I guess it must have been a misunderstanding as others have already pointed out.

Fully agree - Expekt is a good book and their traders will take a big bet. One of my favourite places to bet.
