Default BetAndWin (Bwin) closed my account and don't pay me back

    Hello everybody,

Extreme caution with this ***** bookie. You should consider seriously to terminate your accounts with them. Here is my story.

    > First of all I would like to thank you for the excellent work you are
    > doing, you are rating bookmakers using fair ways, and you helping users to
    > get over their problems with them.
    >
    > I have a huge problem with bwin. Recently (one week ago, I don't remember)
    > I opened an account with bwin and deposited money. I deposited three times
    > money (first time : 30 euro + 30 promotional bonus, 2nd time: 200 euro via
    > CC, 3rd time: 200 via CC). I placed some bets and I was
    > lucky enough to make my account balance near 1490 euro (I don't remember
    > exactly the exact number) (with one open bet 32.16 euro). I requested a
    > withdrawal of 700 euro via moneybookers (oh I forgot I deposited 20 euro
    > via moneybookers so as I can be able to withdraw via moneybookers). They
    > asked me for my id. I sent it to them. They asked that they received my id
    > successfully and that my withdrawal is being processed (this happened
    > yesterday). So I'm going today to check my email to see if the
    > transcaction is done, but nothing. So I'm trying to log in my account and
    > it says it has been closed and that I should contact their customer
    > service. I sent them an email asking them why the!
    > y closed my account and I didn't get an answer.
    >
    > I called them on the phone and they said the account has been closed for
    > security reasons and it won't be opened again. I asked what will happen
    > with my money and they said they don't know, they are waiting an answer
    > from the their economics department. They are completely scam. I also
    > asked them the reason why my account is closed for security reasons and
    > they told me they can't tell any more information.
    >
    > Why it's happening that? I didn't do anything illegal. I opened an account
    > with my real name, I sent them my official id. There's nothing for which
    > they can blame me. But I know why they are doing this because I won over
    > 1000 euro and they can't stand of loosing money.
    >
    > Please help me, I'm afraid that they will refuse to pay me my fairly
    > winning money. I should not have opened an account with them, I heard a
    > lot of complaints for their company, they are not playing fair.
    >
    > Thank you for your time and excuse my bad english!

Please help me what can I do? Whom should I contact? Is there anything I can do about? Something like IBAS?
Such bookies must be closed from their first attempt to steal money from players. We should something because I read a lot of negative posts in your forum and in others also. They can't just take the money and go because they have a recognised brandname in the betting industry. Bwin maybe is the most well advertised betting company but their customer services sucks!!!!!!!!!!!! They are completely scams. I'm definetely sure that if I have lost all that money there would not be any problem with my account.

But this is not the case, I want my money back because that money that I earned from them, I have lost them from other bookies

Excuse me for the length of my post, but I can't stand the unfair strategies of this bookie

    hi zorze!
to me happened something like that, i deposited some small amount, got the 100% and won over 1K Euro. I waited for money over a week and I threaten them everyday. Fortunatelly they had CS in my language - I told them that I am going to write an article about them. I think in this case you can imagine whatever and it works. It were a big money at the time.

    Finally I got it.

And for the locking accounts - I heard it happens to them from time to time also by randomly chosen people. If you like betting at euro company like bwin, switch to Unibet, Expekt, Stan James or many other euro are better. If you do not do that, never have there 1K or more. That is too much for them.

    Zorze-

I'll be happy to help you. You can write me - Justin@sportsbookreview.com, or assistance@sportsbookreview.com. I have resolved many complaints with Bwin.

Thank you all for your respond
Lucas I play at Unibet and especially Expekt for years and I never had a problem. I made the mistake to open an account to this scam book (it's true they are thieves, they don't like to lose money, but that's how business is. If they can't stand it they better close their ******* company) and that's the results. I read and heard a lot of complaints, but I didn't take these complaints seriously. This company is only a very good advertised betting company, nothing else.

I don't care about closing my account, either way I was going to withdraw my money, because they have cancelled some bets. But I want my money back, not only my original, but also my winnings.

Justin7 I sent this same text to assistance@sportsbookreview.com some days ago (Friday) and I didn't get an answer. I also sent it today to Bill Dozer. That's the whole story I don't have anything else to say.

I don't know what to do, any suggestions are welcome
Thank you again for your support, and sorry for not replying shortly I was at work!

    Zorze -

Between server issues and all the player complaints, we sometimes get backed up. Bill is on vacation this week, and I'll be taking one in a few days. Rest assured though, we will address your complaint. Due to the timing though, you may have to wait longer than anyone at SBR would like

Please make your best effort. I'm thankful just for listening me.

Oh, and something else. I bet on basketball game that took place this Saturday and an email (bet notification) has arrived in my mailbox, if this mean something

Wherever, I'm pleased that you're trying to help me, I have read that you have helped a lot of players by addressing their complaints

    Default You aren´t alone zorze

Hi, i´m a portuguese bwin costumer since half of 2005, and i would like to share my exprerience with you.
In August of 2005 i register in betandwin (now Bwin)site, is my first time in bet´s world. first year is to know how the bet´s envirement and i depposit about 100 €.
In march of 2006 i request a withdraw of 70 € and in less 24h the money is in my moneybookers account. So far so good. Since half of 2006 my lucky has change and 4 months i win about 1500 €, i receive an e-mail with a bónus freebet of value 5 €, i accept the freebet. The freebet terms and conditions said:
"The value of freebet has to bet 7 times before i request a withdraw of that money". A few day after when i try to put one bet, one alert appear me: "with this bet, your limit of 100 € to single bet´s is reached", a more three day and my limit to bets is down to 50 €, and more four or five days, they limit me to bets of 1 €. Well, i´m suprise with it and i send an e-mail to them, and they reply me that because of my habits of bets the value of 1 € is the more appropriate to me.
When i see this i request a withdraw on 11/11/2006 and pass two weeks and nothing, they don´t have processed my request.
But when you read the General Terms and Conditions of Bwin, you can read when you accept any kind of bónus and you don´t finish the all terms of promotion, any withdraw that you request isn´t processed. Since 19 to 23/11/2006 i get my mobile phone and make 36 bet of 1 € via wap.bwin.com to make the 7 times value of freebet (7x5€=35€) until 30/11/2006, so i finish all terms and conditions of promotion in time, and they can process my withdraw.
Today is 26/11/2006 and i´m waiting for the money, but they don´t close my account. I hope i receive the money but probably i wait a long time.
I think that many of complaints of a withdraws that are late, because people accept the bónus and forget to read the terms and conditions of them.
I hope with help of Justin 7, Bill Dozer and SBR, i receive my money more fast that i hope.
Sorry for bad english, but i think you understand the mean idea.
    Thanks.

zorze, isn't it a problem that you made a (small) deposit using moneybookers and two larger deposits by CC?

A lot of European bookmakers only allow you to withdraw using the same method used to deposit (to stop moneylaundering.)

Hopefully they've only blocked your account temporarily to check if you are who you say you are.

Good news for me, finaly i received the 1500€ withdraw that i request two weeks ago from bwin.
Be carefull with bónus promotions or any kind of that, they use them do win time for pay-out.

I want to inform you that finally yesterday the put the money in my CC, although my account is still closed and I believe it will remain closed

Despite their cooperation let me tell you that I still doubt about the fairness of this bookie.

Nevertheless I thank you all about your support in this story

In the same boat as you AG. Emailed Justin he suggested contacting them by phone and I did but no dice. All for a lousy $130. They should be a D or F book.

For one, I'd tell the CC company not to pay them. This won't get you your winnings but it will stop you from losing money.

Maybe they had some problems with moneybookers. My moneybookers withdrawal was not processed over weeks while neteller withdrawals were processed within few days...

    Hi everyone!

I've just registered to the bwin site,
but gave them fake name and surname,
made a deposit too (10 euros) and I read that,
if I want to get paid,
I would have to send them my id copy,
so, how could I change my name/surname to the real ones?

    Absolutely NO!

I've sent them a message using the contact form,
can't I change my name and surname???

That means that I won't be able to get paid ever?

Has anything like that happened to anyone before?

    thanx!
seems like I will need it!

    So, is bwin reliable?
Or, to put it another way,
which site is really reliable for someone to register and start betting?
    What are your opinions?

Honestly Patrick, just check the ratings on SBR. For the most part, they are dead on (With some hotly debated exceptions, of course).

And i highly recommend using your actual identity.....Good luck.

Actual identify is usually a good thing especially if the book is known for asking ID. Hell I've had to send my ID to one book 3 times before they would accept it.

Yeah, I've been through that before..."Sir, your ID was too dark" is my personal favorite given as a "reason" to resend. Also was told once that my head was "blotted out", whatever the hell that meant. I was scared to death for a while afterwards, thinking my doom was foreshadowed like in "The Omen" and I would soon be decapitated in some bizarre fashion.
