Dallas- No.
Falcons- Maybe. I like the Saints to take the South. Roddy White holding out could play a big role in the first couple of games
Packers- Still a year away. The Vikings take the North.
Seahawks- Yes. Hasselbeck will be healthy. I think the Cards take a step back this year. Boldin is still unhappy, Warner is a year older, they lost their offensive coordinator, they don't have a proven RB, and their Defense is average at best.
Patriots- Yes. But not worth the price
Steelers- Maybe. I think Cincy will surprise people this year. Baltimore will be good as well. I dont know if -225 is worth it
Colts- Yes.
Chargers Easily

The only difference on the coaching staff is the head coach. Tom Moore and Howard Mudd Un-retired last week.

I like Dallas at these odds. Yeah, they're the 3rd best in that division, but it's closer than people say it is.

I don't really like any of the rest, because of the heavy juice. Maybe you can parlay Pats/Bolts/Steelers or something. I do kinda like the Seahawks, but I'm on the fence.

I hate the Colts at +160, I have them in 4th in that division. Not that the Colts are that bad, but it's that the division is just that good. The division probably goes 11-5, 10-6, 10-6, 9-7.

Do people forget how crappy the Bears O-line is? Cutler played behind one of the best in the league last year. He's going from Brandon Marshall to Rashied Davis. He's going from Eddie Royal to Devin Hester. He's going to struggle. The Bears defense isn't anything special anymore either. The Bears will go 8-8 at best.

No, the Bears (9-7 last year with Orton) will do better than 8-8 with Cutler. They drafted 3 WRs and one of them is likely to come up aces. Plus, TE Greg Olsen is going to have a break-out year and probably make the Pro Bowl. If future HOFer Orlando Pace can come back strong (and he says he has plenty left in the tank), the offensive line might make some holes for Matt Forte and protect Cutler better than they did Orton.

On defense, Jarron Gilbert (#4 overall pick in the draft) is a beast of a pass rusher and fits Lovie Smith's system to a T. He will make noise this season.

I feel like this is a storybook year for the Bears, just three years after their last Super Bowl. The odds quoted above are very tempting to me.

And when I look at the Bears schedule, damn! It's the easiest one in the NFL! I can envision them making a statement in the first two weeks by beating Green Bay on the road and then coming home to smash Pittsburgh, the Super Bowl champs. If that happens, the rest of the season plays out like clockwork and Chicago finishes 12-4 or better with home field advantage over everyone except maybe the NFC East winner (Dallas or NY, who both have much tougher schedules than the Bears).

Jarron Gilbert was a 3rd round pick. Not the number 4 overall pick in the draft. He isn't even going to play DE so I doubt those "amazing" pass rushing skills will be showcased. He won't even be a starter this year. The Bears drafted 3 WR's on day 2 of the NFL draft. They did nothing in the draft that will help them immediately. Maybe one of those 2nd day picks will become a solid number 3 receiver one day, but not any time soon. Orlando Pace... Are you kidding me? This guy is old and beat down. What makes you think Jay Cutler will do better in Chicago than Kyle Orton did? Jay Cutler is a loser. He hasn't won s.h.i.t since high school

My bad, you are right about Jarron Gilbert. He was a 3rd round pick and will probably suck. And yes, the WR picks were desperation selections and will have no impact on the Bears this year. And Orlando Pace is finished, old and beaten down. Done. And Jay Cutler is a loser. Can't blow his nose into a tissue. And the Bears will stink, finish 8-8 or worse just like you predicted.

My God, what was I thinking? I am ashamed to have posted my previous post.

Ya'll are dumb shits, don't post about a team if you don't know whats going on. Gilbert, not gonna play much this year, maybe 7 snaps per game. Rasheid Davis? not starting. Its hester, bennet, then davis/knox.. And I love how everyone keeps bashing the bears o-line, give me a break. O-pace at left tackle, omiyale at left guard, olin at center, garza at right guard, and chris williams at right tackle is harldy a "weak o-line". The bears concerns is in the defensice back four. The front 7 should be ok, with the front 4 producing more pressure then they're used to, not like last year, and obviously the LB unit is one of the best in the league, but lots of questions in the secondary.

Yes, no doubt lots of questions in the secondary. The Bears will get burned time and again from that weakness. I never said Davis was starting on a regular basis. And obviously, I think the Bears o-line is much improved from last year. And as you pointed out, the front 7 on D is going to be fine: but it is not more pressure than they're used to. Lovie's scheme is all about pressure and I expect a return to 40+ sacks a year as they did in '06 and '07. They're looking to get back to the olden golden days of their Super Bowl year.

So tell me, rez, after glancing over the Bears schedule, what do YOU predict their record to be?

I'm originally from Seattle. Let me tell you this, NEVER expect the Seagulls to do anything. Hasselbeck is the destroyer of seasons. I fully expect this to be his last season. Plus to many key position losses and the division has gotten tougher. I say lay, good sir.

I'm sure you know this being a Seattle fan...but I do like the new team.

Hasselbeck is still good QB and got T.J. Housh on their team for another weapon w/ Deion Branch. RB may be a little weak, but they can manage. Defense is good enough to beat weaker teams in that division.

Arizona, has the curse of team to lose in Superbowl year earlier have shitty season.
49ers...they are 2 years away.
St. Louis....I have liked them for years and every year I think they will be great again and bring back the greatest show on turf. Every year they dissapoint. They are like the Cardinals every year, but finally Cardinals had their breakout year...when w/ Rams. IDK.

Plus, St. Louis lost some good receivers. I LOVE STEVEN JACKSON, but OK defense and losing their top WR sux.

Seattle in a close division. 9-7 will probably be good.

I'd be more generous then that.

I give em 7-9. Junior is over rated, I don't think he can make all these new faces work as a cohesive unit. This year is a building year.

Like the rest of your picks though.

Everything I said about Gilbert, you just said. Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know Earl Bennet was starting over Rashied Davis. It really doesn't matter who's playing WR for the Bears, because the whole group sucks ballsack in general. Yes the Bears O-line is shitty. It's the same Shitty o-line that you guys started last year except you added an old, beat down left tackle to the group. Chicago Bears 8-8.

I disagree with the Pitts and Seattle picks.

I feel that this season will set up the same way that the two season ago did for Pitt, they will play around .500. They are in a very tough division, ravens are a tough team, cincy could be a nice sleeper, and well cleveland is shit. And its way to big of a price to lay imo.
Seattle is the "sexy" pick, I personally like the 49ers or Zona to come out of the West. Zona could and most likely will have the hangover from Super bowl...but they still have talent. 49ers will suprise teams, if they could ever get a QB look out. They are going to play hard football just like Singletary played.

I do like the Dallas pick, I think they could suprise teams this year without the Drama Queen around.....

Since someone asked...Bears 09-10'

@Packers- win
Steelers- loss
@ Seahawks- loss
Lions-win
@ Falcons- loss
@ Bengals - win
Browns - win
Cardinals - loss
@ 49ers - win
Eagles - loss
@ vikings - loss
Rams- win
packers- win
@ ravens-win
vikings -win
@ lions-win

10-6 and division winners. Thats how I see there season playing out, obviously just my opinion, but I've been a fan for a long time and I think I got this team scouted out well. They'll really start gaining steam near the end when Cutler and the recievers develop a good rapport and the dust settles for who's gonna play in the secondary, cause I still think somebody at the safety position is going to step up and play well. And I think those picks are actually being generous in the favor of bears haters.
