Is The Offshore Wire still around or am I blocked?
I have not been able to get on for 2 or 3 days. I'm wondering if Roberto blocked my IP. Tried to open his site from Costa Rica and still cant which puts down the IP blocking theory.
He started taking on 2nd tier books and went down fast, is it because of that?! Thats not right.

Down for me too.
I know even with backup generators and otherwise hosting can go down with hurricane related issues.
Hoping Roberto is ok and gets his site up as quickly as possible.
In the future I just can't see hosting sites in FL or the Gulf in general. I know people like to keep them local to them, but less disaster prone areas might become essential. I have a server in Dallas, on most disaster related projections is pretty safe area and has ton of connectivity.

LOL Raiders! I did express my opinion on him promoting the 2nd tier books but I dont think he would go so far as to block me.
He is probably changing hosts meaning he has taken the files off of one server and put them on another. Now he is waiting for them to propagate the internet. That would be my guess.

Hurricane Wilma severly damaged the hosting company we use, which is located in Ft. Lauderdale.
We are currently working on several alternatives.
I don't expect the site to be back up before 24/48 hours.
Will keep you guys posted.
