    Default Mike Tice

When does this guy finally get the ax? Minnesota should have gotten rid of him after he was caught scalping his Super Bowl tickets.

Had the Viqueens not beat The Pack on Sunday, Tice would have been gone. Minnesota will not win anything with Tice as head coach. He and Martz are the worst coaches in the NFL.

He has become the new version of Bruce Coslet....that win last year in GB in the playoffs gave him an extra year or two.

We haven't heard the last of Mike Tice in the NFL. He actually did pretty well with the team that he was given. It takes more than a head coach to turn a franchise around. I bet Tice gets another chance as an NFL assistant somewhere, or maybe coaching college football somewhere.

The writing was on the wall when Wilf took over. Wilf will start to put his own personal fingerprint on this team. We'll see what kind of owner he'll end up being. So far, he's been pretty quiet and politically tactful. I think quiet is good, especially from an owner.

I agree that Tice probably wasn't an ideal head coach when he first started with the Vikings, or even after his second season. He was living on borrowed time during his entire tenure. His original hiring by McCombs was questionable, to say the least. But, I think Tice has grown into the job and improved quite a bit. I don't want to make comparisons to Belichek's days in Cleveland, but Tice has grown a lot, and there's a lot left in his coaching career. He'll be an asset on some NFL team down the road. Amazingly, Tice's firing has made me a fan of his! But, it just had to be done.

All three Mikes (Tice, Martz, and Sherman) deserved what they got. They have had talented teams and have done nothing but underachieve.

I kind of liked Mike Tice and Sherman....All 3 of them will land head coaching jobs next year or the year after.

They're saying that Tice will probably land somewhere as a position coach. People aren't sold on him as a head coach and they don't consider him good enough for an offensive or defensive coordinator.

Sherman will probably find a head coaching job for 2006.
