On a scale of 1-10, with "1" being very easy and "10" being very difficult, how hard would you say it is to stay discplined with your money?
I'll say 7

I say 3. If you mismanage your money you will be out of the game real quick. It takes years of discipline and is easier said than done.
If it wasn't for beer, I would probably say 1.![]()

I'll be honest. For me, it used to be 10, but now it literally has completely switched and is around a 2.
With a 10 unit play being the most I should logically wager on a game, if things started going wrong I used to risk around 30 units. I was lucky to not bust myself at one point early in my gambling life.
Now it is easy for me to wager completely within myself, and, while the wins or losses don't affect my bankroll as much, I still get the same rush, and feel as pleased or pissed at the outcome.

I'm disciplined with money, not with gambling. Meaning, I only deposit money I can afford to lose, the % of my budget for leisure time... but I play too many parlays, overbet some games, end up losing too much. Sometimes I go down to zero and can't play that book until the following week, or am stuck in lowering my 1 unit value.

when I first started it was a 10 ...You could have put 2 cockroaches to race and i would have take some action...Now after learning the hard way im a safe 3

2 to 3. Sometime find myself chasing in the evening on a saturday/sunday if I had a bad morning slate. But it never threatens my bankroll.
I think everyone in the beginning was around a 8-10. You need to discipline yourself, and you dont learn that in the beginning.

I can tell you, discipline is my biggest weakness. I have zero discipline when comes to gambling.

In many infancy in betting, I would say a 4. If I got $20, I normally straight wager $10 on the safest game and then put the other $10 in a big parlay, so there is always money in the bank w/ the potential for a big payout.

I am a 8. I live on chasing because I believe my capping abilities are top notch.

Im pretty cautious now but was taught a harsh lesson a few years back when I started dabbling in the Financial Traded options market.
Lost over £2k in one day on a index 'put' option, made me feel ill especially when the Market bounced back the next day![]()
At least with Sports Betting when the game has finished it's done & dusted, you have either won or lost.
With financial gambling (& it is gambling, though the suits would have you believe otherwise) the party continues without you![]()

I agree with 7...money management and not chasing are key aspects...

I used to be a 9. Now I'm a 2. I have a ton of rules I play by now and since I started implementing them I've been really successful. I never chase and I always bet the same amount on every game, about 3% of my bankroll. I'm a grinder that's just looking for a small return each season. I'm not looking for the huge payday. My mindset is stock market, not lottery.

i'd say 2 or three so far in my short career. I only flat bet 1 unit per play

Money management is key, over-betting kills ! Determining your perceived advantage on a bet , converting to appropriate bet size, is the art behind it !
Experience counts, here... It's not Blackjack where a precise nuber can be derived !
