People not from the area may think I'm exaggerating, but you wouldn't believe the frequency and intensity of the downpours here.

I live in Queens, and my neighborhood is semi-underwater.

The latest stuff knocked out my Internet completely and I had some time-sensitive material to take care of on the Internet, so I walked about a mile to another location. Before I got to the corner of my block, my sneakers all the way up to my ankles were filled with water. I should've worn boots, but they restrict movement.

There are places on the way I couldn't cross because the water level was too high. I had to change my route.

It's frightening how hard it was coming down. And every time I open my windows (when the rain briefly stops), my house gets soaked. I can't open the windows anymore because the periods of dryness are so short.

Everything is flooded. The streets, the sidewalks, you name it.

Its been raining a week straight but the forcast is looking very good

finally made it home and my Internet is sort of working.

I'm not opening the windows, though. I've learned my lesson.

Hopefully, July will be much, much better. I can't take any more rain. What I would give for a nice 90 degree day...........

Not far from Queens College. Also not far from where Ganch lived.

Queens is fairly big, though. Easily the biggest NYC borough in terms of area.

Yeah, it rained itself out on Thursday. I think it's coming back on Friday, though.

Im up over here in Western PA from Jersey...never experienced anything like this in my life. At least one day a week where it's undriveable due to lack of visibility
