If you read the fine print, you are able to make multiple deposits of $400 each. But since it has to be by credit card, there is a cap on how much you can deposit. I sent them $2400 and am still waiting for the bonus. But the guy on live chat said "congratulations, you are $2400 richer." So I hope I get the bonus without a problem

good luck Sam...i have an account there but never funded it...i didn't know how and it seemed too complicated at the time. I just spoke with a friend who told me about the mansion situation. Right now we all need to be careful....i envision in the next 6-7 months all the threads on SBR will be dealing with issues about the books that didn't make it...
I can only imagine what would have happened with last year's NFL favorite covering barrage and the U.S. gambling ban if they happened in the same year....90% of books would have left players dry.....fortunately that's not the situation.

Well said, Buddy. I hope people are listening when you and others point out that this should be a cautious time for anyone involved with this industry. Not time for panic, but definitely caution.

mansion's headed down fast...it's clear to me that they don't want any business from the U.S...there live chat reps are extremely rude and they rarely return their emails anymore...they've done away with their sportsbook, and football is now -107 (vs. -104 that they had before)...I've also read that they've cut their limits on a lot on games...also have read that the NBA is full juice now...their website layout still sucks and they never publicly addressed the deleting of certain players bets...
and now they are giving out $2400 in bonuses to one player (with no rollover!)...think about this guys...it's too good to be true!...$1000 for the Steelers promo and then their CS goes to crap...
stay far away guys...

here's an article I picked up over at covers...
Britain unveiled plans on Tuesday to regulate Internet gambling and said it opposed the U.S. government's banning of the industry. However, sports minister Richard Caborn told a news conference that the government would not protect UK online gaming executives from extradition requests if they took Internet bets from countries in which they were illegal. "People have to abide by the laws of particular countries," he said. "We will not acknowledge people who operate illegally." Caborn was speaking at Ascot racecourse west of London at a summit of 32 international delegates, which aims to agree a framework of regulation to protect consumers, prevent underage gambling and gambling addiction. The United States declined to attend, having effectively banned online gaming at the end of September in a move that wiped billions of pounds off the share prices of Internet gaming companies such as PartyGaming and 888. Prior to passing the new legislation, U.S. authorities had arrested gaming executives from two UK-listed online gaming companies -- David Carruthers from BETonSPORTS and Peter Dicks from Sportingbet -- during visits to the country. Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell said Britain opposed the U.S. ban, which risked driving the industry into criminal hands. "We do not support the approach the United States has taken," she said at the summit. "The enormous risk of prohibition is that it forces the industry underground," she said, likening the move to the U.S. ban on alcohol sales in the 1920s. Caborn said Britain was sympathetic to a complaint made by Antigua to the World Trade Organization (WTO) over the U.S. ban, but he stopped short of saying Britain would support the complaint that the U.S. was acting in a protectionist manner. "It will be a landmark decision ... We sympathize in the sense we want the WTO to clear up this area," Caborn said. "Antigua has made it very clear it welcomes the support of the EU in this. We will find out the WTO's position in 2007." Caborn said online gaming firms were willing to back initiatives proposed by the government, which include having a "social responsibility" clause written into contracts. "This morning the vast majority indicated they would sign up. There was no dissention at all on the direction of travel politically." According to government figures, Europe's regular gamblers stake nearly 3.5 billion pounds ($6.7 billion) a year, an average of 1,000 pounds each. The worldwide Internet gambling market is put at more than $30 billion.

Still waiting for them to add the bonus. I'm not worried about mansion closing down any time in the near future. Books that paln to rob you, don't ask that you make your deposits by credit cards.

marc,
I'm not saying that mansion is closing down anytime soon, I'm saying that they really don't care to pick up any new U.S. business, nor do they care about retaining the U.S. business they already have...it's your choice bud, but I've seen this before...

In a story which is neither is about Mansion nor even mentions Mansion, how did you come to that conclusion? Your "translation" machine is sending my bullshit-o-meter of the scale.

I'm serious - how did the article which wasn't about Mansion nor mentions Mansion give you the translates as "mansion doesn't want to touch U.S. customers with a ten-foot pole right now"?

dick****,
here's my deductive reasoning...Mansion's located in Europe...this article is about Britain complying with U.S. law...I assume other European countries will comply because they are made up of people like yourself with no spine...thus my belief that Mansion is not trying hard right now for U.S. business...

When did mansion change the fee for sellers to 0.5%? Just noticed that.

it has always been .5% for seller and 0% for buyer.
