Struggling and not a threat at all

NFL is tough Pal, its very early in his career so he still has lots of time to be good.

Ive been saying all along Reggie Bush is overrated or hyped. Which ever you want. A career punt returner. I dont see him being a work horse in the back field.

Reggie Bush is done. He gave it a good try for a whole 7 games but his team is just an utter failure and Reggie has to be blamed for their misfortunes. The experiment has backfired. What a waste of money! Look at where the Saints are in the standings. It's obvious that having him in the backfield in no way influences the offensive success of this team. They should cut him now. Nobody would miss him. Maybe you can trade him for Mario Williams who is also an obvious failure solely based on the first 7 games of his career. They're both washed up. There's no way Reggie can hope to be a good back in this league unless he scores 2 touchdowns a game as a rookie. His performance thus far makes it blatantly obvious that he will never amount to anything but a mediocre punt returner in the CFL. Lebron is never going to be a good player because he doesn't have a very good jumpshot.

He didn't even live up to the lowly standards those players set. He's simply a bust. Usually I would say that a rookie player having a couple of subpar games for a quality team should be given a little bit of room for growth and improvement and maybe a bit of an adjustment period, but I've seen all I need to see and I have to agree with Looker and Dan on this deadbeat. Go home, Reggie! You scammed us all into thinking you could play, you loser!

He still needs time to adjust in the NFL and will play better for sure. He is not a bust! You can't expect him to have 100 yard games while being the 2nd back with McAllister. Even if Bush doesn't do much in a game, other teams have to spend time on plays involving Bush while taking away time from other areas. Similar to how Vernon Davis will be when he is heathy.

Of course he is on a pace to have 1200 yards from scrimmage and catch 100 passes out of the backfield, all while being the secondary option to McAllister who himself is projected to have around 1200 yards from scrimmage. I just don't think the Saints can be very happy with that kind of production from the rookie.

I'm sure they'd much rather see something like a Tiki Barber who had 800 yards from scrimmage his rookie season.

Or perhaps they're looking for Larry Johnson type of production when he was playing second fiddle as he managed to not quite reach 1000 yards from scrimmage his first 2 years in the league combined.

Then there's always Warrick Dunn. He's a small back that obviously can't play every down in this league. He managed to put together a season that is roughly the equivalent of what Reggie's on pace for.

Perhaps we should look at Brian Westbrook, the player which I have always said that Reggie compares to most favorably. Brian is about the same size as Reggie but Reggie's a little faster. Brian managed to put together a sparkling 270 yards his rookie season. He followed that season by breaking out with less than 1000 yards. At that time the Eagles should have realized he was nothing more than an Eric Metcalf. Now he's just a relative unknown in the Eagles' offensive scheme.

Or MAYBE he's like Eric Metcalf who barely scraped together 1000 yards from scrimmage his first year in the league, yet still managed to be a 3-time all-star when it was all said and done.

But MOST LIKELY he really is like Dante Hall for whom you'd have to add together all the yards from scrimmage during his first 5 seasons in the league before you'd reach Reggie's projection for this season. That sounds about right.

Reggie should have never been born.

What surpirses me is Bush cannot get a decent run from scrimmage, every carry is like 2 or 3 yards and every reception is like 7 yards or less.
