New Mod Poll
Well boys, I turned in my notice to Dozer earlier this morning. That's right, put my foot down and told him I'm outta' here in four years. Had hoped to make it only a three year notice, on account of how busy I'll be three years from now with my write-in candidacy for US President. But Queen Bee says she won't be ready to have me around the house all day that soon in the future. So four years it is.
In light of the strong showing by NEITHER in the other poll that was instigated by our leader, thought I'd throw out some names for SBR to consider as my replacement four years from now. I've narrowed it down to eight deserving candidates and providing a short synopsis of why I think they'd make a good mod.
badnina: Nepotism, it's a game the whole family can play.
betplom: Knowledgeable on subjects ranging from why bees buzz to fishing for walleye. Plus he'd have to move to Texas giving me the last laugh.
binar-99: Strong, silent type. Not once has he posted anything to upset or rile the posting community.
buztah: We'd finally get a Cooking Forum that I have lobbied for since Day 1.
HAPPYBOY: The man, the artist, the legend.
raydog: Doesn't pull any punches, just reports the news as it happens and says to hell with what anyone else thinks.
Richkas: The night shift would never be the same again. Oh, the humanity of it all.
tacomax: Do I really need to list why this man is qualified? I'll take that as a no.

As for the listed candidates, I voted for Happy Boy. I think your office could use a bit of diversity, and the hiring of a Mexican would be a great start!

first, i lose my currupt, fedex forum money stealing, city money thief, drug smuggling, payoff taking, weed smoking, coke snorting, city destroying, husband to none but father to some, great mayor of memphis willie herenton to pursue a seat in congress. and now i have to look forward to willie leaving us in 4 years??? what the fukk could happen to me next......

I voted for Buzzy because SBR needs a GLBT person on staff, but I think Ray and Taco would also make excellent Mods. Can we get one of them to replace The General since he needs The Shrink to do his job for him?

The appointment of a new mod at this forum has such a profound effect on the way I live my life that I would really like to gather more information first. Perhaps each candidate could put together a policy paper that I could go over. A few thousand words each should be enough to get the process started.
From there, we would have to talk about some candidates not listed. The Picos and the Monkeyf0ckers and the Spellcheckers of the world. With something this important, thoroughness is essential.
Gosh, you know, I'm not sure 4 years is going to be enough lead time.

I voted for Richkas. This is the only candidate I see hitting more than 50% of his picks and SBR needs a good capper badly to lift up the 30% that CrazyLou and Vegas Dave are hitting combined right now.
