Default Spurs 20-1 to win the Championship get it now!!!!!

5Dimes. Just put a unit on it. YOu never know Phil may put it down and LeBron MayNOT get Shack, Magic may not keep Turkeyglue, and Denver can't handle success. I think its worth a shot.

Who is going to pick up a better player than Richard Jefferson, that is already a contender? Enough said.

I love the spurs to win it all next year...

haven't decided who I'm officially throwing my support behind yet (will wait until draft and trades finish up for the most part)

they look very good if they stay healthy (better than boston, LA and cleveland...)

I do like the thread they made today but I think they need at least a couple more good bench players. Plus, Bowen was a huge part of their success. They'd always throw him on the opposing sides best player and he'd shut the player down...they won't have that anymore.

I said thread instead of trade...poster addiction can get to a person.

    seriously?

    are you mentally retarded?

with Manu healthy the spurs had what it would take o beat the Lakers this year in the playoffs... and they would have swept orlando...

as long as tony, manu, tim, and Pav are there the spurs will always be a smart bet pre-season to win it all...

adding jefferson makes them better with Bowen even though Bowen was the backbone of the team...

20 to 1 is nice. You could hedge against the future every round and still be up.

only the truly dominant teams like chicago 91-93 and 96-98 and the lakers 00-02 really repeat, and the current laker team is not that dominant. very good, but not dominant. matchups helped them big time this yr. the west will rebound with denver, houston and san antone all improving a lot by next playoffs. someone else in the west will emerge too. cleveland and orlando will be much better after having this playoff run in 09. boston will get KG back healthy and will be back to 08 form possibly.

if there was an even bet allowed on lakers to repeat or lakers NOT to repeat where i would get the field against them, i would push most of my chipstack into the center of the table right fukking now, i'm that confident that they will not repeat

Who is a better 2nd, 3rd, or 4th option than Tim Duncan? Get it while its hot. Timmy has handed over the reigns. The time is now. It is now Tony P's team and all Tim has to do is rebound and play defense and occasionally post up and throw out of double teams. Think Magic with more sense and experience.

contenders and hopeful contenders making moves, the spurs get richard jefferson who will be a very nice 4th option scorer, and can be the 3rd option also, cleveland picks up shaq so now they have someone to guard dwight howard, and boston is looking to trade rondo and or ray allen and will get major players in return

teams are not standing pat, just watch the action that will happen tomorrow before, during, and after the draft

oh and san antonio WILL get bowen back... he will be bought out and then in a couple of months, re-join sa.

san antonio may be a sharp pick... cle getting shaq tonite really bolsters their case tho.

let me ask you seaborneq, would you have laid that unit down if you KNEW cle was getting shaq? because part of ur reasoning was that cle may not get him... and now that they made a deal to acquire him, im interested to know if you wouldve still made the same decision

people are hyping La vs Cle, Kobe vs Shaq and Bron and Im thinking Hou vs Cle for the Chinese Market, but what about San Antonio vs Cle??? Duncan vs Shaq....Bron gets revenge on the team that swept him a few seasons ago?

What do you guys think about that?

I still like the Spurs even though Shaq is a Cav. I don't consider him a game changer anymore.

shaq does not need to be a gm changer any more, he just needs to be in the gm to make a difference. ask d wade and his miami mates if shaq was important to them in their 06 championship. his stats were avg at best that season but they won it all. shaq is a difference maker even at age 37 by just his presence in the paint on both ends of the floor.
