If you have had the opportunity to watch Joe Buck Live on HBO you will certainly agree that Joe is a terrible host. He is a lame personality that try's way too hard to be something he is not, i.e. A Bad Ass. This show has great guests but displays no real purpose or meaningful presentation to the topics brought up. He has no real control of the format and when Arty Lang ripped him a new asshole as a panel guest with his normal antics, it brought out the truly dull personality that I believe to be Joe Buck. He then closed out the show with a monologue a la Bill Mahr's New Rules, only it was completely random, lacked substance and failed on the delivery of every joke that was written.

This is a testament to what can happen when you are spoon fed a career from your dad. Who thought Joe Buck was a comedian anyway? This show sucks.

Of all the sports commentators, ex-athletes, writers, journalists why is Joe Buck the guy to take over for Costas. Costas was great, he was a great announcer, he was a great host, most of all he was extremely insightful and new how to bring out the best in a story. This guy has nothing in the tank past calling 9 innings.
