Default dual lines at Bodog w/o sign in

Bodog knows who you are (your computer id) when you go to their site BEFORE you sign in.
You get the line they want you to have, before sign in.
I’ve verified this with a friend who gets a different line.
    Clever of them.

I assume other dual line dealers do the same, just haven't noticed it yet.

Does it still do it if you delete your cookies?

Never used to. I quite often used to delete the Bodog cookies to see what lines I could have been getting

Bodog has admitted publicly in the past that they used dual lines. I think thats B.S., but the only way to avoid this from happening is to not play there.

has to be cookies...what else could they put on your computer? if they are actually loading spyware or etc software on your computer to track you that would be a very very lowball move

really more evidence why they should be downgraded. It's important to play at books that worry more about the lines than the players.

Whats wrong with them dealing dual lines?
They are still good often enough, even if you have the "sharp" lines...

I'm not a Bodog fan but it's up to the bettor to take what's offered or pass on it. I've PASSED on Bodog a long time ago. I hear they offer good poker games.

Bodog is a good book, no they are not like Pinny Cris etc, but they are excellent in what they do/offer.
Everyone should have an account there, simply because the lines are often not cloned, and they are very safe and fast with payouts.

Yoshi, 'Dog is a Super Square Book. They are waaayyyy late in putting up their #s even on NFL sides. The only thing I remember about them I liked was a liberal re-up bonus.

    Exactly...i know Sam
But super square books often offer good lines, simply coz their weekend bettors all bet the other side.
And the bonus is great and adds up to that, even after you cashed out you can get a reload bonus some days later.
There is value in having bodog among your outs, thats all that matters for me.

My friend and I deleted the cookies and that took care of it - gave the generic line for both. But sign in again and it’s back to different.

It appears to me that their “public” line (the one on SBR Odds and the one my friend, a new customer, gets) is the more aberrant line compared to the market. The one they give me (a long term player) is more mainstream vanilla.
But I find this arrangement useful. Sometimes what I get is better than my friend, sometimes his is better. We can both take advantage of that.

I see nothing wrong with what they do. It’s their call to try to get money flowing the way they want. And it’s my right to take advantage of it when I can.

Yup, that's what happened to me tonight. They had under at +105, but when I logged in, I had under at +100 instead.
