Those who got in there (not me) are sitting pretty.

What I meant Dave is simply getting out of all or part of a position that you have, in exchange for a profit (or, I suppose, "scalp") or a shot at something bigger. Originally Posted by dave11486
If you'd jumped on Car -3 -112 at SBR John's suggestion (say you risked 560 to make 500), then within an hour you could have bet Dal +3 +146 (say risking 430 to make 628) and locked in a $70 profit on anything other than a push. Or you could bet DAL +4.5 +112 (500 to make 560) so that you break even unless the game lands on CAR -3 (560 profit for you) or -- the orgamsic bonanza -- CAR -4 (1060 profit for you).
Or, if you like CAR some, you could sell just a portion and have a smaller bet on the Panthers at ridiculously good odds. (Something like CAR -3, 195 to make 250). Or, if you like DAL, buy it back for more than the original amount.
