Default Why Doesn't Firefox Support Media Player?

    Common Firefox

I actually considered using this until I found this major flaw.

Do you have any thoughts in the day which you don't post?

Also, if we're seeing the cream of the crop here on SBR can you advise some of your potential threads which didn't pass the jjgold quality control?

Ok, what is the site that is giving you problems with this. I havent ever seen a problem with media player. Unless I havent been to a site that uses it.

You have to get the IE extension for that. That allows you to change to IE for a separate window. Available at Mozilla's 'themes and extensions'.

I was asking you for a link that it didnt work. Im not sure if its working for me or not. As I dont know if I had been on a site with media player in it.

    Read post carefully JJ.

IE tab is the extension, and its posted in that firefox thread I made. You said you already have it installed. Learn how to use it.

I try any site and it says media player not found when it asks to look for plug in.

Ganch great link but too complicated, this fukkin browser has too many complications. I thought I could just download a plug in and it would work. According to the link you have to move files all over the place.

    Firefox no way

I never installed anything. I installed firefox, and WMP worked fine.

    Just your system being screwy.

I use regular Mozilla (just a personal preference), and WMP will not work with it. I have to use IE to watch WMP streams, unless the site is using WMP Classic to stream.

I have heard Mozilla Firefox (not the old Mozilla like I use) works fine with WMP. Are you sure you downloaded the right one?

Here is the link to the WMP Plugin (and others) https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/plugins/
The WMP Plugin is at the bottom of the page. There is a tab at that top of the page to switch over to search for Extensions. Hope this helps.

Oh yeah, and just a random thought, thanks to everyone here that recommended Pinnacle to me. I can not believe how great that book is. They process my Neteller withdrawals within 5 minutes!!! No waiting, no BS, no need to contact Bill. It is like heaven, and I get the feeling my money is safer with them than with my own bank.

Congrats on finding Pinny. Of course, as I'm sure you know, NO online sportsbook is even in the neighborhood of a bank in terms of safety, but Pinnacle is awesome.

Oh, just to get back on topic:

One of the great things about Firefox is that it comes relatively stripped down but with a huge amount of customizing available through ad-ons and extensions. What's really great about this is that in order to be really happy with Firefox you need to have a tiny clue about what you're doing. Not much of a clue, but some. This alone means that Firefox will never be used by 80% of the population (unless it is dumbed down for the masses).

The fact that Firefox will only be used by <20% of the people adds greatly to its security. Malicious software writers will continue to go after the browser with the 85% market share. It doesn't hurt that the #1 browser has more holes than Swiss cheese.

I downloaded the windows media plugin for netscape and it worked. I think firefox in a way mimics netscape.

    Thanks Boys

After further review, Media Player is a "no" issue for me in firefox. Plays perfectly fine.

Once firefox has the ability to save the names on tabs I will fully endorse it. I am starting to like it more though.
