Detroit Red Wings WILL repeat as champions!
Red Wings are so much better than the Penguins its not funny.
In the end it will be Pittsburghs defence that will be the difference vs the Wings, I see them caving in from facing wave after wave of Red Wing offensive talent and the Detroit transition game.
The fact that Osgood has gotten hot at precisely the correct time doesn't hurt either.
Sidney Crosby lovers will be crying in their towels once again when the playoffs are over.
Wings in 4, 5, 6, or 7 games.
Book it.

With respect, I'd rather hear Nicky's take on this. He's Mr. Hockey at SBR.

I agree with you. I want Pitt but I just can't see it. I've heard a few experts I respect predicting Pitt. I'm talking about guys who definitely know a lot more than me. But when I try to accept the possibility, it is a big mental blank spot for me.
I just can't see it.

I can't believe how many predictions I've seen for Pittsburgh, I believe Detroit has yet to show their best play, perhaps they were saving it for the finals.
In any event, I can't see Pitt beating this Wings team, they are the best team I've seen since the 80's Oilers.
Detroit is also a quasi Canadian team with lots of fans in Windsor Ontario.

I can't believe the lack of respect for Pitt.
I can see Detroit winning of course but I think Pitt are out to revenge last year and are as good on paper but younger and hungrier.
Leaf fans do have hope with Burke in charge, he's the best thing that happened to Toronto fans since Pat Quinn. The Leaves will be a contender sooner than later.
Pens will win

Good luck to all. Hopefully each game is a thriller. Everyone should pick up their game a little more at this point.
FWIW...
In May, Detroit has allowed 3 or more goals 5 of 13 playoff games
In May, Pittsburgh has allowed 3 or more goals 6 of 11 playoff games

Detroit has a 73.7% pk in the playoffs, after posting a 78.3% pk in the regular season. Am I missing something? Why is the Wings defense so highly regarded? Reputation?
We will see what Red Wings defense shows up against a legit offensive team. I am guessing the regular season defense, that didn't really play much defense, is the one that shows up.

I'd say a pretty fukking good defensive team has shown up to play Pitt, Crosby no points so far and Pitt has managed a whole 2 goals total offense.
I see the Pitt young guns getting frustrated by a superior hockey team, Pitt ain't even close to Detroit in terms of ability.

Dwight, I won't forget your predictions, they have been useful so far this season.
For example when I see a game I have no opinion on and then see Dwight Shrute likes a side, I immediately have to like the opposite side.
If Pittsburgh wins 4 straight vs Detroit you would be rich, but it ain't gonna happen pal.
The Cup was Detroits before they started the Finals.

Red Wings have been very good, and deserved to win both games.
Pens have played very good, and have to do a better job of capitalizing on opportunities. If the Pens continue to play as they have the first two games, the series is going to be long.

??? what??? pens could be 1-1 easily if they didn't hit posts all the time. Some say they could be up 2-0 in games. I watched all games so far and I agree.
lets hope the breaks start evening out in Pitt. If they do, this ain't over

Something needs to be done differently by the Penguins or it will be over soon for them, not that it makes much difference, kudos to Pitt, but there is no team in the NHL right now that could beat Detroit in a best of seven series. This team is the second best team I've watched play in the last 25 years. They are second only to the Edmonton Oilers of the 1980's.
I see the Pens players, ESPECIALLY Malkin, getting frustrated and that doesn't help their chances.
There haven't been alot of penalties so far but I suspect that may change as Pitt gets more frustrated along the way and take dumb retaliation penalties.
Wings might even sweep! I don't expect it, I expect them to lose a game in PA and return home to wrap it up in game 5.

Dwight pal, what a dopey response. Of course I've watched the games, remember back when you were all talk about the Canucks? I was watching then too.
I formed my opinions after watching the games and I could only come to one conclusion, the Red Wings are the best team I've seen since the 1980' Oilers.
Detroit has allowed very few 5 on 5 goals, they are superior in every way and this was mentioned well before the finals started.
FYI a shot that hits the post isn't even counted as a shot on goal.
So the team that has been outscored 6-2 in two games is the better team?
God, I'd love to be your bookie.
Why is it that you never concede? You always have an excuse.

In a scale of 1-10 Wings are playing at a 6. Pitt is playing at an 8. Watch out if the Wings actually play their best.

Pittsburgh backers can only hope.
Detroit has an answer for anything Pitt has thrown at them.
The more I watch them the more I am impressed, even without Datsyuk they are rolling.
Now if the Stanley Cup was to be decided on most goal posts hit instead of actual goals, Pitt gets the nod.
I'm amazed at how Pitt supporters (not including Element, he seems to tell it the way he sees it) do nothing but make excuses for the Penguins, but the fact is there is no team in the current NHL that could beat the Red Wings in a 7 game series.
Don't believe me? Try asking every team Detroit has faced the past two seasons in the playoffs, they would tell you.

Dude, I have seen the bets you make and I am sure that your bookie is much happier than mine. No question.
Way to go out on a limb and pick the Wings. You are gutsy.
You obviously haven't been watching to closely.
Thanks for clearing up that the posts don't count as a shot on net. Why that even was brought us beyond me. I always thought a shot of the post was recorded a 3 shots on goal and the crossbar was 10?
You crack me up sometimes!~

Dont mess with DWIGHTSHRUTE!
he is a good guy!
also, cindy needs to be a captain and take control, as of now malkin is doing his part...by fighting at the end of the game and setting a tone, its a small tone, but still a tone.......
i wish malkin was on the wings!

Dude, where exactly have you "seen" my bets?
I will pay you $1000 for every legitimate "bet" you can post a link to showing who and how much I bet on.
Fact is you're just a sore loser who has been wrong about almost every series so far this post season and obviously can't hack it.
My offer stands Mr loudmouth know it all, post a link to my so called "bets" and I'll send you $1000 for each one, no strings attached, but I know I won't have to pay as you're just shooting your big mouth off (again) and can't back up what you say with any proof.
Dwight, lay off the reefer and think before you speak, you won't come across as such an ass.

C'mon Reno, the Sabres? "Canes? in the same sentence as the Oilers, sorry pal, not even close.
Sabres never won a Cup, and the Canes won once, tho Oilers won 5 Cups in the 80'- 90's and were denied a 6th because they beat themselves.

Such a predictable response
I am here to talk sports and you wanna tell everyone how smarter you are and everyone is an idiot if they have a different opinion than his majesty.
I am sure you make $250K a year sports gambling and that is an off year for you.
At least I make my predictions on the series dude and went 6-2 in the first round which you know if you looked but you make these silly remarks based on no facts at all.
You have posted a few in the wings / ducks series and I think you lost em all.
Sore loser? Loudmouth?
Look in the mirror!
You crack me at your unoriginality and how predictable you are.

Dwight is right up there on the list of clueless when it comes to hockey.
