Default Stanley Cup starts this Saturday night

They came to their senses and scrapped plans for a nine day layoff.

So they went from a nine-day layoff to playing the first two games on back-to-back nights?

The first 3 games in 4 days...

The last 3 games in 7 days?

At least the NHL keeps the 2-2-1-1-1 format for the Finals, and doesn't switch over to the 2-3-2 like the NBA does (which I hate).

back to back games, unreal...they must be getting pushed off the air, especially since its a repeat of last stanley cup finals......i expect wings to sweep or win in 6

goaltending is the key, and defense!
    pens have goaltending
but wings have defense, and defense wins games

Same here, don't like the 2-3-2 format. The team with the inferior record shouldn't have the opportunity of three straight at home.

Exactly sickler, TOO big an advantage for the lower seed if they steal one of the first two on the road.

The scheduling issues come form the crappy TV deal the NHL has with NBC. A deal which only pays the NHL based on viewership and is basically worth $0.

The CBC's TV deal is worth $100 Million and they are left flapping in the wind. What a joke...

What is the reason for the 2-3-2 format in NBA? To eliminate home court advantage? or are they just that cheap on travel expenses... lol
